What a year it has been so far!

From a business perspective, this has been one of the more challenging years. With more nail technicians and facial specialists entering the industry, it can be difficult to stand out and reach new clients—especially for those of us who aren't naturally confident with social media. I'm continually learning and improving, although finding the time to do everything I'd like can be a challenge.
Thankfully, I'm hoping that my years of experience, high professional standards, and passion for what I do will continue to shine through.

On a personal level, I've also been navigating the challenges of perimenopause. It can be unpredictable, and no two days seem to be the same, which makes balancing work and life a little more difficult at times. However, I'm doing my best to face it head-on and keep moving forward.

With all that said, I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of my wonderful clients ❤️

I know that life is busy and the cost of living continues to affect us all, so your continued support means more than you know. Seeing your friendly faces, catching up during appointments, and being trusted with your treatments is something I never take for granted.

Your loyalty, support, and kindness help keep both me and my business going, and for that I am truly grateful.

I have been a beauty therapist for over 25 years. I have run my own business since 2005, started off as a Franchise then went off on my own in 2008 and so Body & Soul was born.

I moved premises and became a bigger salon with staff, treatment rooms and manicure desks.

Then on 2015 I went off on my own as Hidden Beauty, started in a unit in Stoke Mandeville next to The Goat Centre and then finally in a purpose built treatment room in my garden.

I love my job and over the years I have worked out what I enjoy most so this year I compacted down my treatment list so I can specialise in what I love the most, facials, nails and eyes.

So a lovely client let me film her having a facial.

I did the Age Defence Sensitive Facial, 1, because she's not had a facial for quite a while and 2, because her skin can be quite sensitive and reactive so this facial is perfect to sooth her skin and strengthen her skin barrier.

Her skin is also quite dehydrated and shows some signs of sun damage so the Collagen Mask with Elastin and Aloe Vera which is activated with Hyaluronic Acid will really hydrate and boost her skin.

During the second cleanse I used the deep cleansing system which cleanses 4 times deeper then just hands.
I also used exfoliation discs with the exfoliation gel to really work the gel into the skin.

I used the AgeLOC boost with the Ceramide and Postbiotic serum to sooth and smooth the skin.

Whilst the collagen mask was on, I used the Cryoballs to help calm the skin.

Unfortunately the clip ends too soon so you miss me putting the concentrate, eye cream and treatment cream on.

As you can see by the 'Before and After' pictures, her skin looks much more hydrated and brighter. Her skin also looks firmer and calmer, perfect facial skin 😍
