UK National Award Winning HBA - Best Home Beauty Salon 2025

Here at Nailed That! We have so much to offer and we are not just talking about the decor!

Building The Dream...

When I first dreamed of owning my own salon, I had one simple goal...

To create a place where people felt welcomed.
A place where clients could relax, feel cared for, and leave feeling happier than when they arrived.

Back then, I never imagined what that dream would become.

I never imagined winning awards.
Becoming a HBA Brand Ambassador.
Or having the opportunity to inspire and support others within our industry.

But perhaps the thing I'm most proud of isn't any of those things.

It's the people.

Because somewhere along this journey, my dream stopped being just about me.

Today, I have the privilege of building a team of kind, passionate, like-minded professionals who share the same values, the same passion, and the same vision for what Nailed That! stands for.

People who genuinely care.
People who support one another.
People who want every client to leave feeling seen, valued and cared for.

And that brings me to Lorna.

When you build a business, you quickly realise that skills can be taught...

But kindness, passion and genuine care can't.

Lorna embodies everything I hoped our salon would become.

Watching her grow, seeing the love she has for our clients and knowing we're building this dream together is something I'll never take for granted.

I'm so incredibly grateful to have someone by my side who not only shares my vision but helps bring it to life every single day.

Thank you, Lorna, for believing in this dream and for being such an important part of the journey. šŸ–¤

Watching this dream grow beyond just myself has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

It reminds me that success isn't measured by awards or titles.
It's measured by the people you surround yourself with.
The culture you create.
The lives you touch.
And the legacy you're building together.

This is still only the beginning.

I don't know exactly where this journey will take us next...

But I know one thing for certain.
I'm incredibly proud of how far we've come, and even more excited about where we're going.

Here's to continuing to build the dream...
Together. šŸ–¤

✨ BEYOND THE BEAUTY – Episode 12 ✨

What Burnout Really Feels Like

Burnout doesn’t always look like falling apart.

Sometimes… it looks like carrying on.

Getting up.
Going to work.
Looking after everyone.
Answering the messages.
Doing what needs to be done.

While inside… you feel completely exhausted.

I think that’s something I’ve learned the hard way.

We can become so good at pushing through that we don’t always notice when we’ve stopped actually living and started simply functioning.

You’re tired… but sleep doesn’t seem to fix it.

Things you normally enjoy start to feel like effort.

Your patience gets shorter.

Your motivation disappears.

You feel emotionally drained, overwhelmed, or sometimes just… numb.

And still, that little voice tells you:

"Just keep going."

"Everyone else manages."

"You haven't got time to stop."

So you do.

Until eventually your mind or body starts telling you that something has to change.

One of the biggest things I’ve had to learn through my own mental health journey is that we shouldn't have to reach breaking point before we give ourselves permission to rest.

You don't have to wait until you're completely empty.

You don't have to justify needing a break.

And slowing down doesn't mean you've failed.

Sometimes slowing down is how we begin finding ourselves again.

Because rest isn't weakness…

It's recovery.

If you've ever found yourself saying "I'm fine, I'm just tired" when deep down you knew it was more than that…

Comment SEEN if this resonated with you.

Remember...

Beauty is what you see. Wellbeing is how you feel.

✨ The transformation starts long before you open your eyes...

When most people think of an LVL Lash Lift, they picture the beautiful before and after photos...

But this is where the magic actually happens. šŸ’–

While you lie back and relax, every lash is carefully lifted into place, creating the illusion of longer, fuller, beautifully defined natural lashes.

No extensions.
No mascara.
Just your own lashes, enhanced.

It's a treatment that requires patience, precision, and attention to every tiny detail...and it's those details that make all the difference.

The best part?

When you finally open your eyes, you'll wake up to beautifully lifted lashes every single morning for weeks to come.

Sometimes the most beautiful transformations happen while you're simply lying back, relaxing, and trusting the process.

✨ Beautiful lashes.
✨ Less time getting ready.
✨ More confidence every day.

I thought the hardest thing in life was starting a business. The challenges, fear, frustration, pressure & worry of failing.

Then I became a mum & thought that was the hardest thing. The mum guilt, time pressures & fear of not being enough for my 3 little girls.

But I’ve realised, however hard, those are tests. Tests of strength, resilience & our ability to keep going.

Until life hits you with something you simply cannot fix. Something you have to learn to live through.

Two years ago, our family received the biggest blow of our lives.

The main musketeer of our family… my Dad… has CANCER.

Cancer that had spread & that Dad wouldn’t survive.

We hoped & prayed time was on our side & it would progress slowly. Unfortunately, it hasn’t.

We’ve now been told we may only have months left with Dad.

So I’m navigating something nobody can prepare for.

I’m still a business owner, nail tech, beauty therapist & mum to 3 little ones. But I’m also a daughter facing life without her Dad.

I need to be there for my family, be Mum’s sidekick & with help, become Dad’s main palliative carer, giving him the love, care & TIME he deservesā¤ļø

Time with Dad I simply cannot get back.

So, with immediate effect, you may notice changes at Nailed That!
ā¤ļø Social media may be quieter.
ā¤ļø Messages may take longer.
ā¤ļø My salon days/hours may change.
ā¤ļø Appointments may need moving.

Nailed That! isn’t going anywhere. Neither am I. This isn’t me giving up. I’m simply allowing myself to be Cat the daughter when Dad needs me, rather than everything to everyone.

Many of you have been with me years. Watched my family grow, supported my business, celebrated our achievements & shared your lives with me. So it felt important to share this rather than disappear or make changes without explaining.

All I ask is for a little patience, flexibility & understanding. If I need to change appointments or I’m slower replying, please know I wouldn’t unless I needed to.

When I look back, I want to know I gave Dad something no money, business growth or success could ever replace… My timeā¤ļø

Thank you for supporting me, my family & Nailed That! through this incredibly difficult time.

With love,
Cat x

✨ BEYOND THE BEAUTY – Episode 11 ✨ The Pressure Women Put on Themselves Do you ever stop and think… Why am I expecting so much of myself? Because I do. We put pressure on ourselves to be the best mum. The best partner. The best friend. The best employee. The best business owner. To keep the house together. Remember everything. Look after everyone. Stay productive. Stay positive. Look good. Be successful. And somehow… still find time for "self care." Then, when we don't manage ALL of it perfectly, that little voice creeps in… "You should have done more." I know that voice very well. For a long time, no matter what I achieved, my mind would immediately move onto the next thing. Instead of thinking… "Look what I've done." I'd think… "What's next?" And that's something I've had to work really hard on. Because if we're constantly moving the goalposts on ourselves, when do we ever get to feel proud? When do we ever get to feel like we're enough? Something I'm learning is that I don't have to constantly achieve, produce or hold everything together to prove my worth. And neither do you. Maybe today, instead of thinking about everything you haven't managed to do… Stop for a moment and look at everything you have done. Everything you've survived. Everything you manage. Everything you give. Everything you've achieved. And give yourself some bloody credit for it! You don't always need to do more. Sometimes you need to recognise just how much you're already doing. Do you ever stop and think…

Why am I expecting so much of myself?

Because I do.

We put pressure on ourselves to be the best mum.
The best partner.
The best friend.
The best employee.
The best business owner.

To keep the house together.
Remember everything.
Look after everyone.
Stay productive.

What I've Learned From Women in the Salon Chair

Working in beauty has taught me far more than how to perform treatments.

It's taught me about people.

About strength.
About kindness.
About resilience.
And about just how much women can carry without anybody else knowing.

Over the years, women have sat in my salon chair while navigating some of the biggest moments of their lives.

New beginnings.
Motherhood.
Relationships.
Loss.
Anxiety.
Career changes.
Family struggles.
Health worries.
Heartbreak.
And everything in between.

Sometimes we've laughed until our stomachs hurt.

Sometimes there have been tears.

And sometimes there's simply been that moment when someone finally exhales and says...

"I've not told anyone this, but..."

Those moments have taught me something I'll never forget.

You can never truly know what somebody is carrying just by looking at them.

I've watched women walk through my door believing they're barely holding things together...

While I've been sitting opposite them thinking about just how incredibly strong they are.

And maybe that's something we all need reminding of sometimes.

Strength doesn't always look fearless.

Sometimes strength looks like getting up and trying again.

Sometimes it's asking for help.

Sometimes it's allowing yourself to cry.

Sometimes it's simply making it through a difficult day.

So to every woman who has ever trusted me with more than just her beauty treatment...

Thank you. šŸ’š

You've taught me far more than you probably realise.

And if there's one thing the salon chair has shown me, it's this...

Women are far stronger than they give themselves credit for.
