A LITTLE HONEST NOTE 🤍

I am honestly the most easy going person, I’m always happy, welcoming and try to be as understanding and accommodating as possible… but recently I feel like I’m being taken advantage of, and I need to address it.

Yesterday I had a fully booked Dumfries clinic. I wasn’t feeling well at all, but I still showed up because I hate letting people down. I left at 7am for a 1 hour 40 minute journey, I worked the full day and I didn’t get home until 10:15pm.

I had 3 no shows, this is something that is becoming a regular occurrence.

“Forgotten” appointments… even though reminders are sent the day before.

I only work in Dumfries one day a week, as well as a busy salon in Ayr, so appointments are limited. There are always people waiting and desperate to get booked in, and it’s frustrating when those spaces are wasted.

It also tends to be the appointments where no deposit has been paid.

I’ve been in this industry a very very long time, and no shows are honestly one of my biggest frustrations. It’s not just inconvenient, it’s disrespectful. I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and rebook them in (again without a deposit) but I need to start setting firmer boundaries.

I take pride in being professional and providing the best service possible, and I hate to have to be negative on my socials but I’m human and it’s starting to get me down 😓

If you are unable to use the booking system like the majority of my lovely clients do, or if you have repeatedly wasted my time, then I may not be the right practitioner for you, I say that with respect.
