The Non-surgical Procedures and Functions of Medical Reviewers (Scotland) Bill has been introduced today (9 Oct) in the Scottish Parliament.

Key highlights include:
✅ Procedures only in HIS-registered premises
✅ Ban on treatments for under-18s
✅ New enforcement powers for Healthcare Improvement Scotland
❌ No training standards yet — but Ministers may introduce them later
ℹ️ A separate licensing scheme for lower-risk treatments will follow under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982
