Simone and I have been discussing her going darker over the last few appointments but I recommend we didn’t go for it until she was absolutely ready.

She’s been warm brunettes before, quite a few years ago now, before she came to me. We’ve discussed her natural skin tone and what suits her many times and mutually agree she is better suited to cooler/neutral shades.

She still wanted to feel bright around her face and keep some blonde in general. So we created a statement yet blended face frame and complimented it with a beautiful neutral brunette. This is perfect when a client doesn’t want to feel too warm but you also don’t want to create a flat and “muddy” appearance.

What do you think to her transformation? I think it looks so sophisticated.

Feels so naughty when you know that colour can’t and won’t go 4-6 months these days 😂🤭. My client knew this too and we went for it anyway, rebels!

Don’t get me wrong, I love lived in colours for all the right reasons and the grow out is so much softer and still looks beautiful months later.

But as a creative, this gave me life and dopamine 🤩.

When a foundation of trust is still there years on. This is why making sure your stylist is the right fit for you and your values is so important. Time and trends move on, but like any good relationship if the understanding and communication are there, you can easily carry on where you left off but evolved.
