E: [email protected] As a qualified Shiatsu-Do practitioner from the British School of Shiatsu-Do, I am also a registered member of the Shiatsu Society (MRSS). The way in which Shiatsu unwinds the body’s manifestation of somatic symptoms from psychological and / or physical trauma, and everyday stress means that Shiatsu practitioners are able to treat all kinds of dis-ease in the body with extraordinary results. Imbalances in the following areas can be treated by Shiatsu: musculoskeletal, digestive, hormonal, stress related problems and breathing issues. I also treat women in pregnancy (inc. teaching partners techniques to support the mothers-to-be), post childbirth and children, as well as specialising in more focused areas such as Fascial Release, Structural re-alignment and Core Energetics. In a nutshell, Shiatsu's long lasting restorative benefits for the body and mind go beyond just the deep relaxation you will feel during the treatment. Shiatsu is a truly holistic therapy, which has positive effects on the body’s physical structures and internal organs, while at the same time allowing the body and mind to assimilate emotions.
