This appointment was all about refining the overall look rather than creating something harsh or overdone.

The existing colour had become slightly heavy and warm through parts of the hair, with stronger lines of contrast running throughout the lengths. Lucy’s focus was to soften everything down, create a more seamless blend from root to ends and bring back a more natural, expensive-looking finish.

Using finer placement and careful tonal work, brightness was reintroduced in a much softer way, allowing the blonde to feel cleaner, fresher and more dimensional without losing depth through the base colour. The final result feels brighter, lighter and far more balanced, while still remaining low maintenance and wearable for everyday life.

Healthy-looking, polished hair will always win over harsh colour.

Lucy has recently completed her Beauty Works course and has spent the last few weeks focusing on refining both her technique and her speed.

At DKY, it’s not just about being qualified, it’s about building confidence, consistency, and producing work we’re proud to stand over.

For this client, Lucy created a soft colour gloss to enhance shine and reflection through the hair, followed by the application of a 150g weave to add fullness and length seamlessly.

She is progressing beautifully and is now at the stage where continued hands-on experience is key!!

Lucy is actively looking for models to support this next step in her journey.
