There’s a point where “I need more clients” stops being the answer.

Because if you’re already working 30–40 hours a week, adding more clients just means adding more hours.

Before you chase more bookings, look at what you already have.

Are clients returning?
Are they rebooking?
Are your prices profitable?
Are you making enough per hour?
Are you giving your clients a reason to stay?
Are you using your time properly?

Growth doesn’t always mean a fuller diary.

Sometimes it means making your existing business work better.

And that’s something I wish more lash artists were taught.

Soft. Elegant. Natural but luxurious ✔️

A beautiful lash set isn’t automatically a technically good lash set.

And this is something I wish more lash artists understood.

Clients see the finished result.
They see fullness, curl, length and styling.

But as professionals, we should be looking deeper.

How clean is the isolation?
How are the attachments?
Is the weight appropriate?
Is the direction correct?
Are there stickies?
Will the set actually wear well?

Your client shouldn’t need to know the answers to these questions.

You do.

That’s the difference between simply creating something that looks good and understanding the skill behind it.

And if you’re looking at your own work thinking, “I never even thought about that…”

Good.

That’s where education starts. 👀

I don’t believe that attending a course automatically makes you qualified.

There. I said it. 👀

For me, education is about much more than demonstrating a technique and handing you a certificate.

I want to know that you’ve understood what you’ve been taught, that you can apply it, and that you understand what you’re doing.

I will correct you.
I will question you.
I will make you practise.
And if something isn’t there yet, I’ll tell you.

Because I’d rather have a student leave knowing exactly what they still need to work on than leave with a certificate and false confidence.

I’ve spent years building my skills, learning from different educators, refining my techniques and continuing to educate myself.

So when you train with me, you’re not just buying a certificate.

You’re investing in education that is designed to make you a better lash artist.

Certificates are easy to give.
Skill has to be earned.

And THAT is the standard I believe in.

YOUR FANS KEEP CLOSING? 👀

One of the things I love about working with UV is the control it can give you when creating volume fans.

With traditional adhesive, you’re working with an adhesive that continues its curing process while you’re working.

With UV, once your fan is correctly positioned and exposed to the appropriate light, you can cure it and stabilise that attachment much more immediately.

But…

UV isn’t magic.

If your placement is wrong, your timing is wrong, your lamp position isn’t right, or your technique isn’t consistent — changing to UV won’t suddenly fix everything.

And that’s exactly why I always say:

Technology doesn’t replace skill.
It gives skilled artists another tool.

Once you understand how your system behaves, you can start working with the technology rather than fighting against it.

“Can I have lashes like this?” 👀

When you show me a picture, I’m looking at the curl, length, style, shape and fullness.

But what you might not realise is that I’m also looking at YOUR lashes.

Every set will look different because every natural lash line is different. Your number of lashes, length, thickness, direction and eye shape all play a part in the final result.

You can show me a photo of someone with an incredibly full set… but if you naturally have half the amount of lashes, I simply can’t create the same density.

So yes, bring me the picture. 🤍
It’s a great reference.

But my job is to create the best version of that look for YOUR lashes and YOUR eyes — and sometimes that means advising you that a slightly different style will suit you better.

Do we REALLY need to get those infills done? 👀

Yes — and it’s not just about keeping them looking full.

Your natural lashes are constantly growing and shedding, which means extensions can grow out, twist, turn and become heavier on the natural lash.

That’s why regular infills are important. 💫

And if you decide you no longer want extensions, you don’t need to wait until they’re all gone. A professional removal is always the better option than letting grown-out extensions stay attached.

BE HONEST… HAVE YOU REALLY MASTERED EVERYTHING?

Making fans.

Isolation.

Direction.

Styling.

Attachments.

Speed.

Consistency.

There will always be something that feels harder than the rest.

And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with admitting that.

Struggling with a technique doesn’t make you a bad lash artist.

But ignoring it because “my clients are happy” won’t make you better either.

The important question isn’t:

“Am I perfect?”

It’s:

“Do I know what I need to improve?”

Because that’s where education comes in.

Sometimes you don’t need another whole course.

Sometimes you need someone experienced to look at what you’re doing and show you what you’re missing.

That’s how we raise the standard.
