Four years ago yesterday I walked into this shop starting a whole new chapter. Three years at B Special, building relationships, learning the ropes, and pouring everything into my craft.
Then came year four and I took over and Mint & Co was born.
Going from team member to owner is a whole different beast. I wonโt sugarcoat it, running a business is stressful. The late nights, the constant juggling act, and the endless behind-the-scenes fires you have to put out while keeping a smile on your face... itโs exhausting.
But looking back at this past year? Iโm absolutely bossing it.
None of this would be possible without my incredible team around me. A massive thank you to my amazing staff, who stayed right by my side through the entire transition and continue to push their boundaries every day. Watching your individual journeys and growth alongside this business has been one of the absolute best parts of taking over.
Thankyou especially to Lauren F, Keeley, Kerry and Lauren G for absolutely everything this last year!!!
And thankyou to every single client who has supported us, sat in our chairs, and trusted us over the last year! Year one of ownership is down, and weโre only just getting started! โจ

1 year ago I took a huge risk. I took over a 25-year-old business, stepped into the unknown, and Mint & Co was born.
Looking back on day 1 I remember wondering if Iโd made the right choice. Fast forward 365 days, and thanks to all of you, we are now fully booked out almost every single day! โจ
Building Mint & Co into what it is today has been an absolute whirlwind but I couldn't have done it alone.
To all my amazing team, past & present - Thank you for every bit of hard work, passion, and laughter you bring to the salon floor. You are the heart and soul of Mint & Co, and Iโm so grateful for everything you do.
