Twelve years ago today, I opened the doors to my salon for the very first time. ‘The Hair Lounge.’

Back then, I could never have imagined everything this little dream would grow into.

The clients who became friends, the conversations shared in the chair, the education, the awards, the growth, the challenges, the laughter, and all the moments in between.

This year feels very different.

For the first time in 12 years, I’m celebrating this milestone whilst on maternity leave. In a season of slowing down, soaking up precious moments, and learning a completely new version of myself outside of the salon.

And honestly, it’s made me feel even more grateful.

Grateful for every single client who has supported me over the years.

Grateful for my renters, my students at the college, and everyone who has trusted me with their hair, their confidence, and their time.

Grateful that the business I built continues to stand strong, even whilst I take this time away.

From opening the salon at such a young age, to rebranding, moving locations, becoming a curl educator, winning awards, and navigating some of the hardest and most beautiful seasons of life… it’s been a journey I’ll never take for granted.

Thank you for being part of these 12 years. Truly.

Here’s to growth, evolution, and giving ourselves permission to embrace different seasons of life.

Dan and I welcomed baby Lukas into the world in the early hours of 18th April 🤍

He arrived weighing a lovely 9lb 1oz, and we are both doing great. Dan is looking after us both brilliantly, just as he has throughout the whole pregnancy!

Just a quick update to let you know I’m now on maternity leave.

Thank you as always for your continued support. It’s a huge part of what’s built this space into what it is.

While I’m off:
• I won’t be taking appointments

• Emails and messages will be replied to by my assistant Laura

• Replies may be a little slower than usual

Christina Faye Hair will still be in the salon, working independently and renting her chair. If you’re looking for an appointment while I’m away, she’ll do her best to look after you where she can.

I’ll share updates when I’m thinking about returning, but for now I’m taking some time away from the salon.

Emails will be my main way of sharing clear, helpful information while I’m away. Especially when it comes to booking and recommendations.

This season is a big one for me, and I’m so grateful for your support. Making sure your details are correct means I can support you just as well while I’m off filling my own cup for a little while 🤍
