In order to help others, we have to take care of ourselves first.š
All so often we look after and prioritise those around us, so busy are we chasing our tails with sorting washing out, dishes etc that itās not until we are burnt out that we realise we need to think about our needs.
Even if you can only sacrifice a 10 minutes going for a walk or having coffee with a friend for half an hourā¦.it all makes a difference to our wellbeing. Cortisol (our stress hormone) is lowered. This happens in massage. Serotonin (our happy hormone) is released and it leaves you feeling relaxed, more at peace and able to cope with the challenges life throws at you.

Bear with for this story as it does have a point!!This morning I decided to go for a nice walk as my plans had changed. Iāve always thought of doing some different sections of coastline and today was the day. I set off with good pace from Mortehoe towards Lee, it was beautiful and quickly came to Lee and so on I went and then I thought about what someone told me (as quoted above) and I looked back and the picture was what I saw ā¦beautiful, stunning Infact.
Life is very much like this. People come across obstacles, hurdles which take some getting over but when you look back, you see how far youāve come. So next time you feel like your not moving forward, look backā¦you may just be surprised!

Happy new year to you all! I hope you had a very merry Christmas and all is well! The last couple of weeks, we have got back to routines! Some may welcome whilst others would boo!
With 2026 upon us, have you made any plans or made any resolutions? Maybe to look after yourself? Tick of some bucket list items? Hello!! It has been a while since I posted last! Hope your all well! I came on because like many, we have been very busy of late! Getting up to feed calves before and after work and school plus children doing homework, clubs etc and we needed a much needed breakā¦just for a couple of hours to rest and recuperate yesterday, even if we did get windswept š
Our bodies are not indestructible, they do need to rest! We all do it donāt we?! Carry on and not listen to ourselves BUT eventually Everyone reaches the BURNTOUT stage where you physically cannot move or think.
Complementary therapies are the perfect way to rest & rebalance for we all need some TLC at some point! Feel free to message!

Get out and about on the 4th of July for a Book Hunt! I will be hiding a whole load of books around Barnstapleās safe places and parks for children and families to get out in the fresh air and well, Look For A Book! š

exhausting right?! Thatās only some of it! That all surrounds your work day! We are super women who sometimes may go undetected. However we wouldnāt have it any other wayā¦husband, children, animals who we love, nurture, soothe, protect and would do anything for even when the bickering from being overtired drives you around the bend and you yourself are tired from being at work BUT you still love, nurture and support because you simply would not be without them!

Stunning Sunday morning perfect for taking some time out for yourself!
We went to look at a bull this morning before my sonās football match! Typical that the cloud should cover the sun at this point to ensure that all parents watching should freeze š then feeding up the animals before ourselves!
Chores, work and daily life can mean that itās difficult to take time out but rushing around causes our cortisol (stress hormone) to rise and therefore tension rises within the body! Muscles ache and nothing internal and externally works aswell!
Work whether house or work work will always be there but we will not always! Looking after yourself and ensuring you lead the life you want to live has to prioritise other things, otherwise before you know it, life will have flown by and you will have not achieved or done the things you want to do!
I have a very busy week this week but I shall make time for myself otherwise Iāll go insane!! š

Thankfully today, I went to get my back sorted! It feels so much better! We all need a helping hand sometimes and the relief that comes from that is comforting!
I will as usual be going on the farm but today I shall not be doing anything to undo the work that has gone in!
