The beauty services we offer are focused on specialised, luxury treatments. We specialize in skin treatments, lash and brow treatments and full body waxing. The Beauty Surgeryâs facial treatments are highly personalised and completely tailored to each customerâs individual skin concerns and skin goals. A treatment plan will be set up after a detailed consultation and skin analysis, after which the facial or a course of treatments is carried out by combining multiple techniques and using the highest quality products. Our lash & brow services are individually tailored, ensuring each outcome is natural and compliments our clients unique features.
A beauty expo is a very exciting place to be when you work in professional skin treatments.
There are new machines, new technologies, new ingredients and new treatment concepts everywhere you look.
But something being new doesnât automatically make it right for The Beauty Surgery.
When Iâm considering introducing a new treatment or piece of technology, Iâm looking at:
⢠The evidence behind itâ¨â˘ Safetyâ¨â˘ The training requiredâ¨â˘ The results it can realistically achieveâ¨â˘ Suitability for different skin types and concernsâ¨â˘ And, most importantly, how it can fit into a personalised treatment plan
Because I donât believe in choosing a treatment simply because itâs the latest thing.
I want to know why weâre using it, who itâs suitable for, what we can realistically achieve and how it can benefit our clientsâ skin.
And thatâs particularly important as weâre moving into a month of talking about autumn skin, microneedling, microdermabrasion, chemical peels and why the right treatment isnât necessarily the same for everyone.
I also came home with something Iâm particularly excited to test â a new Korean professional skin line for microneedling.
Iâve brought back the serums, gels and masks so I can properly test and assess them before deciding whether they have a place within our treatments.
And as for the new technology Iâm looking at for The Beauty SurgeryâŚ
Iâm not quite ready to reveal that one yet. đ¤
But I can tell you this:
It has to earn its place.
Because when it comes to your skin, newer isnât automatically better.
The right treatment, for the right skin, at the right time is what matters.
Autumn skin isnât one-size-fits-all. đ¤
As the seasons change, there are a few concerns I start seeing more frequently in the treatment room:
⢠congestion and blackheadsâ¨â˘ dullness and uneven textureâ¨â˘ pigmentation and uneven tone
But hereâs something I think is really important:
Seeing a skin concern doesnât automatically tell us which treatment your skin needs.
Two clients can come in with what looks like the same concern and need completely different approaches.
Thatâs why, at The Beauty Surgery, we donât choose a facial based purely on whatâs trending or what sounds good for a particular concern.
We look at your skin first.
Its condition.â¨Its sensitivity.â¨Its history.â¨What youâve been using at home.â¨And what weâre actually trying to achieve.
Because better skin starts with understanding your skin.
If your skin has changed since summer, it might be time to reassess rather than simply adding another product to your routine. đ¤

Do what you like, and youâll never work a day in your life đĽ°
October Autumn Skin Education đ
If your skin has felt different since summer, youâre not imagining it.
As we move into autumn, the concerns we see in the treatment room can change too â from congestion and dullness to pigmentation and changes in texture.
And while there are certain treatments we particularly love at this time of year, there isnât one âperfectâ autumn facial.
Throughout October, weâre going to be taking a closer look at microneedling, chemical peels and microdermabrasion â what they actually do, who they may be suitable for, and how we decide which approach is right for different skin.
Weâll also be looking at how treatments such as blackhead removal, dermaplaning and LED light therapy can be incorporated into a personalised treatment plan where appropriate.
Because at The Beauty Surgery, we donât believe in choosing a treatment first and fitting your skin into it.
We look at your skin first. Then we build the treatment around you.
October is all about helping you understand your skin a little better â so you can make better decisions about how you care for it.
Your skin first. The treatment second.
Weâve spent the summer talking about facials.
But thereâs one thing we havenât talked about enoughâŚ
⨠What happens after your facial?
Because beautiful, healthy skin isnât created in one treatment.
Itâs created through consistency, professional guidance and a treatment plan that evolves with your skin.
Your skin changes with the seasons. Your lifestyle changes. Hormones change. Stress, environment, age and even the products you use at home can all affect what your skin needs.
Thatâs why weâve always believed in personalised skin treatments â not a one-size-fits-all facial.
And after consistently sharing our knowledge, explaining why we treat skin the way we do and showing you what professional skincare really looks likeâŚ
Weâre taking that philosophy one step further.
With the new season starting, Something new is coming to The Beauty Surgery.
Something designed for those who want to make their skin a priority â not just every now and then, but consistently.
And tomorrow, weâll tell you a little more⌠đ¤
Welcome to the next chapter of your skin journey.
Pregnancy can completely change the way your skin behaves. đ¤
You can experience more congestion and breakouts, while simultaneously becoming more sensitive and reactive.
And thatâs exactly why we donât believe in simply making a facial âstrongerâ to get better results.
At The Beauty Surgery, every treatment starts with assessing the skin in front of us.
Because the best facial isnât necessarily the one with the most active ingredients, the strongest exfoliation or the longest treatment.
Itâs the one thatâs right for your skin, on that day.
For our pregnant clients, that means adapting our approach around how their skin is behaving â rather than forcing it through a standard protocol.
Less aggression. More understanding. Better treatment decisions.
If youâre pregnant and your skin has suddenly started behaving differently, this is exactly why a professional consultation matters.

Sometimes, the most professional answer is âno.â
A client recently came to us after being turned down by another salon for waxing.
And honestly?
I agreed with the decision.
Not because of her size. Not because she shouldnât be waxed.
But because specialist body waxing isnât simply a case of applying wax and removing hair.
Some clients require more advanced knowledge around positioning, skin tension, access, folds, contraindications, skin integrity and treatment safety.
And thatâs something I feel very strongly about as a waxing specialist:
A basic waxing qualification doesnât make someone a specialist in every waxing situation.
There should be no shame in a therapist recognising when something falls outside their training or experience.
In fact, I think thatâs a sign of a very good therapist.
We should be asking:
⨠Is this treatment appropriate for this client?â¨â¨ Do I have the specialist training to perform it safely?â¨â¨ Can I achieve a professional result without compromising the clientâs comfort or skin?
If the answer isnât yes, sometimes the correct thing to do is refer the client to someone who is better equipped.
Thatâs not turning someone away.
Thatâs putting the client first.
And thatâs exactly the standard we believe professional beauty should be held to at The Beauty Surgery.
If youâve ever been told ânoâ by a salon, it doesnât necessarily mean thereâs something wrong with you or your body.
Sometimes, it simply means you havenât found the right specialist yet. đ¤
Save this if you believe expertise matters more than simply taking the booking.
Pregnancy changes a lot more than your body. đ¤
It can change your skin, sensitivity, comfort levels and the way your body responds to treatments â which is why pregnancy treatments should never simply be treated as an âordinary treatment with a few adjustmentsâ.
This week, Iâm treated a pregnant client with both an intimate wax and a pregnancy facial.
Two very different treatments, but both require specialist knowledge, additional consideration and the experience to know when and how to adapt your approach.
For the waxing, that means understanding how pregnancy can affect the skin and adapting technique accordingly.
For the facial, it means looking at what the skin actually needs rather than following a generic facial protocol â particularly when the skin is both congested and sensitive.
And thatâs something we believe strongly in at The Beauty Surgery:
The best treatment isnât necessarily the most intense one. Itâs the one thatâs right for you, at that particular stage of your life.
Because luxury isnât just about the treatment itself.
Itâs about feeling that youâre in safe, knowledgeable hands. đ¤
If youâre pregnant and considering treatments, always choose a therapist who is appropriately trained and experienced in treating pregnancy clients.
