We are an Independent Pharmacy, located on the much loved "High Street" in Barry. We can collect your prescription from any surgery in Barry or Sully.
We run a private (non NHS) Travel Clinic, Weight loss Clinic and we offer Ear Wax Removal. HIGH STREET PHARMACY is a friendly, local Pharmacy, proudly located in the heart of the much loved "High Street" on the west end of Barry. We have a prescribing Pharmacist who can diagnose and treat a range of minor illnesses. We offer FLU VACCINATIONS each autumn, free of charge to any eligible patient (this is an NHS service). We can offer treatment and advice for a range of Minor Ailments (NHS service). We also run a STOP SMOKING service.

It’s hard to believe that sunny August was only 6 weeks ago. This was this morning down the island. There’s something quite magical about the stormy seas and moody skies. Autumn is well and truly here…. Which should you remind you all to GET VACCINATED FOR FLU. We are offering walk in jabs all day every weekday. Have a great weekend all.

October is breast cancer awareness month. We can’t wait to put on our bake sale again this year. We’ll all be wearing pink and selling home baked sweet treats. Friday 23rd October from 9am. Please come and join and donate to this amazing cause. Last year we raised just over £1000. Let’s beat it this year.
We echo what Dame Kelly Holmes Official said on Saturday at our beloved Barry Island parkrun
“Doesn’t matter whether you’re walking or at the front trying to get a PB, we’re all here for our physical health, our mental health, our community, and to just be you, so just have fun”. parkrun is such an amazing FREE community. Everyone welcome and not a single negative….. plenty of positives.

Ceri is a call handler at NHS 111 Wales and can help you access the care you need, in the right place, first time.
The service is free to use and available online or over the phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Ceri and the team can support you when:
· You’re feeling unwell and aren’t sure what to do or where to go
· Your GP surgery is closed and you need advice or an emergency prescription
· You have a minor illness, such as toothache, earache or a rash

So good news and bad news this morning.
Start with the good news. We had a fantastic flu clinic, “almost” everyone turned up and were in and out quick as a flash. Thanks to all the staff who gave up their Saturday morning and helped deliver a super efficient clinic. Now for the bad news. As you know we do love Barry Island parkrun but as we were busy vaccinating everyone this morning we only went and missed Dame Kelly Holmes Official who came and ran our lovely parkrun and chatted to loads of runners and volunteerer. She was apparently so lovely and gracious. Have a fantastic weekend everyone.
