Swipeeeee. The woman who started this business is not the same woman who owns it today. There was ALWAYS a face behind the brand. She sunk back for a while (over 2 years!) Great trauma and grief changes a person, I think that is the reason it exists! To break you open in the darkness and set fire to some things within you that happiness and love could never ignite. An instinct that with such force makes a person want to rise from the depths of hell, that's how the phoenix rises.

As we have risen, we look back. I give thanks to it all as it pushed me out of comfort zones to make huge changes to accommodate the woman I am today.

Her goal is health and happiness where she and her children thrive. In Costa Rica they say "Pure Vida" which is pure life. Where the monkeys swing happily, people truly enjoy life and each day is a gift to be savoured. I did 9 YEARS(!) of the hustling and hit severe burn out.

As I look back there was SEVEN YEARS of 17 hour day's, between 2 children who required very different parts of me (one was 2 at one stage and the other was 14!), a single mother who homeschools, a house move, office move (x2) business fails, losses of over £65,000!Then building my home abroad. That only touches the surface without the trauma.

From a lash technician with at one stage £20,000 in debt on credit cards to build the brand, to the beauty show (queue van pic!) In 2019, to a small flat that was FULL of boxes in the PEAK of the lash industry and when emia truly blew up (good old days back in 2019!) Typing address labels ourselves, standing in the post office 5 day's a week for over an hour to ship them (we hadn't reached big enough for royal mail to collect and when we did i didn't realise they did a pick up service LOL)

So i guess after this huge essay a few things would like to be shared of my 43 years young experience;

🌸 You are the most important thing you can invest in
🌸 Social media is not real life, stay in your own lane and be fiercely focused on you.
🌸 You can create your dream life from rock bottom
🌸 Emia will be having a well deserved revamp over coming month's with faces and lives!
