After a stressful couple of weeks supporting my lovely husband, I can honestly say I've leapfrogged off the healthy lifestyle wagon and mostly consumed my body weight in chocolate and wine! With my 37th birthday looming I MUST get back on track so operation "birthday bod" is well underway by doing a week of Actidiet to reset myself before resuming my usual 80:20 balance.
I'd say it's been tough but eating a white chocolate and strawberry cookie for breakfast, a Thai soup with added Acti noodles for lunch, a strawberry shake afternoon snack and a Moroccan chickpea tangine Acti ready meal with some sauteed courgettes for dinner hasn't been the worst day ever ;)

This is me "travelling light" 😂 on a spa break yesterday! To be fair though the therapist's actual comments during my facial were "your skin is in great condition, what do you use?". Turns out that her recommend regime is cleanser, toner, moisturiser, eye cream and serum in the morning and cleanser, moisturiser and night cream in the evening with regular water intake and a monthly dermaroller....guess who does most of that! *Looks smugly in the mirror* 😎.

Day Cream vs Night Cream

DAY

During the day our skin is exposed to various damaging factors such as the sun, pollution, make up and other environmental stresses. Day creams focus on protection and support of the skin on the face.

Our face creams also all contain a factor 20 UV protection 😉. They also provide ingredients which protect the skin from free radicals. They are designed to be worn under make up so their formula is lighter.

NIGHT

At night our skin focuses on repair and renewal. It restores and regenerates whilst we are asleep. Our night cream is therefore designed to moisturise and aid recovery.

It is richer and more powerful, more potent and heavier. But it's fine because we are in bed sleeping and all that goodness is getting work ready for the morning 😉.
