Wed-to-bes, I’m going to be honest with you….. I’ve been exactly where you are. And as bridal hair & makeup artists, I think it’s time we did better.
❌Not because there’s no talent…. there is so much talent in this industry it’s insane.
❌Not because we aren’t obsessed with our brides and their experience…. because we absolutely are.
But because somewhere along the way, we started following trends and forgetting about the individual sitting in our chair.
And the result?….. Open any bridal page. Type “bridal hair and makeup” into a search bar. Scroll for thirty seconds.
Everyone. Looks. The same.
Flawless, yes. Beautiful, absolutely. But almost always the same twenty-something model, the same polished finish, the same aesthetic lifted straight from Vogue … with very little room for you anywhere in it.
The bridal blueprint needs to be binned. 🗑️
Don’t get me wrong…. the aesthetic is beautiful. But time and time again, I’ve had brides sit in my chair, ask for the trend, go home, and realise it just doesn’t feel like them.
You are not here to fit into a box. You’re not here to chase a trend or end up in a mood board you don’t recognise yourself in.
You’re marrying your best friend. You don’t need to change a single thing.
What you need is an artist who gets you. Who loves your style, understands your vision, and can bring out the most you version of you that has ever existed.
That’s what this is about.
Not the bridal mould.
Not Vogue.
Not someone else’s version of “bridal”.
Just you…. on the best day of your life…. feeling fu***ng hot.
So stop trying to fit in, and start leaning into everything that makes you brilliant, individual, and gorgeous.

Clock barn has always been a home from home for us! During the summer months we are there every weekend and sometimes 2 or 3 days running….. guys, we need our own room! 😉🧡

This industry is bloody hard & our brides deserve to know why.
We pour everything into your day…. our health, our social lives, our mental load, our whole selves… to make sure you feel like an absolute dream.
We miss the BBQs. We skip the drinks. We push through the anxiety, the IBS flare-ups, the heartbreak, the sleepless nights…. and we still show up for you at 6am with steady hands and a massive smile. (Coffee fuelled of course!)
Not because we have to. Because we love what we do.
But love doesn’t pay the bills, beaut…… and neither does being taken for granted.
So next time you enquire, next time you question a professionals pricing, next time you wonder why we don’t just “do a deal”….. remember this carousel.
Remember what’s behind the kit bag.

‘Totally you’ is having a little face lift!
The result of me stepping away from hair & makeup myself, meant that any personality in the branding (tried to keep it generic), the behind the scenes & the connection also slipped away.
This team of incredible hair & makeup artists deserve better!
So, there’s gunna be some changes. 👀
Can we talk about something that’s been doing the rounds lately? 👀
Hear me out….
You wouldn’t walk into Zara, fall in love with a top, nip to Primark to find something similar (but cheaper) ….. then go back to Zara and ask them to price match it…… would you!?😅
That would be unhinged right??
And yet…
Brides are emailing professional artists with websites & profiles asking them to price match another artist.
I need us to talk about why that is one of the biggest professional insults you can land on someone. 🫠
Because here’s what you’re actually saying when you do that:
“I love your work. I love your service. I love what you offer. I just don’t think it’s worth what you’re asking for it.”
If you genuinely wanted what the cheaper artist offers …. you’d have booked her. FACTS.
But you didn’t. You came here. So you already know what you want. You just want it at a different price point.
And I say this with love….. that isn’t mathin’!
Behind every quote is tax, education, business investment, a kit that costs a small fortune, and an entire year blocked out so we can show up for you with zero drama on the most important morning of your life.
We’re not just doing your hair and makeup. We’re giving you calm. Security. Care.
So before you send that email… just sit with how that lands on the other end. Because we’re not faceless brands. We’re real humans running real businesses. And honestly…. most of us still aren’t charging enough!
We are not for every bride…. and that’s okay.
But if you want someone who will show up fully for you, we’re right here. 🤍
