Morning ladies, with the weather being extremely warm over the oncoming days, please do not do any vigorous exercise, have a hot shower, sunbathe etc before coming for a waxing appointment….also please remember that post waxing, you cannot have a hot shower, use sun beds or sunbathe, use hot tubs, swim in a pool or the sea for 24 hours!

Hi all-I just wanted to mention an interesting discussion which was featured on BBC One Breakfast this morning and has also been featured in the papers…

This was in regards to nail product allergies and reactions. As this is a more and more common thing that is occurring in the nail industry, I would like to reassure any of my clients that Bio Sculpture is a highly reputable brand which has been on the market for professionals for over 35 years. It is a South African brand which follows the same regulations as the EU/USA in regards to nail products and protocols and doesn’t contain HEMA which a lot of the products that are manufactured cheaply in China.

My advice as always is to stay away also, from at home or "DIY" gel nail kits. A lot know my thoughts on these kits and yes, whilst you are able to buy them doesn't mean you should. It takes time and education to perform a manicure correctly and the risk of exposure of uncured gel on the skin is higher.

I would also like to add that nail allergies do happen and here are some common symptoms:-

• Nail plate separation (onycholysis)
• Itchyness, blisters and soreness around the fingers or nails
• Severe peeling skin on the fingers
• Unexplained rashes on the body
• Swelling

Hello everyone!
Well, my holiday last week didn’t quite go as expected, as I became unwell on the journey down to Cornwall and ended up in hospital for 6 days-this was the 2 hours view I managed to get on our balcony the Friday afternoon I was discharged before we came home 🥰
I have had to take this week off to fully recuperate- thank you to everyone who I had to cancel this week for being so amazing 🥰 I’m easing myself back in next week-it will be lovely to see some of you again soon,
