This lovely client came to me almost 𝟐 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐨 with a bob haircut. Since then she has been 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, while also being on hormonal treatment that can slow down hair growth.

This type of installation is improper and extremely 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 to natural hair.

Unfortunately, installs like this are one of the reasons hair extensions sometimes get a bad reputation. 😢

Extensions are meant to support you on your journey to 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐫, 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 - not to only mask an issue, and absolutely never to cause further damage to your hair or scalp.

My lovely client came to me after having her extensions fitted elsewhere, and this was how they had been installed for almost two years. The 𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒔 and scalp irritation now make sense.

I won’t even start on:
• the tiny amount of natural hair placed into each ring (nowhere near enough to safely support the weft),
• a row fitted right at the nape,
• and the extremely inconsistent stitching spaced far too widely apart.

If your extensions look anything like this, please consider having them professionally removed as soon as possible.

Choose a specialist who is properly trained and experienced in hair extensions. This is not how it should be done.

Your hair and scalp health should always come first 🩷
