🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🍬Happy Pride Gumdrops! 🍬🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

2020 has definitely done a number on us so far - but that means we only have to celebrate Pride 100x more!

🏳️‍⚧️ We will celebrate our transgender family, and remember those we have lost.
🤟 We will celebrate those of us who have struggled being quarantined with family who may not be accepting.
🏳️‍🌈 We celebrate our entire rainbow, that we can see in between these storms.
🐻 We celebrate the bears who are definitely struggling in this heat.

With all this celebration, we remember the good times we've had at our little spot of q***r paradise on Walcot Street. And it is with heavy hearts that we finally admit that Bella Cielo will be happening no more.

Due to changing circumstances both Candy and Joshua have left Bath and are following their dreams. Joshua has flown to Thailand with a beautiful fiancee whilst Candy has turned to life on the road.

We want to thank everybody that helped make Bella Cielo a reality. Our amazing volunteers and tech crew, our amazing photographers, our tireless committee, our breathtaking performers, The Bell Inn who put up with our hosts in half drag running around looking for cables (they could not have been better hosts) and of course our audience - our beloved gumdrops - who have cheered, laughed, cried and swooned with the rest of us.

As a last gift - we're FINALLY posting the amazing shots from the Xmas gig!

If we can leave you with any advice is SUPPORT LOCAL Q***R EVENTS! And if you haven't got any near you - grab some lashes and put one on yourself. We have loved every second of it and we will truly miss you all.

It's the end of - so here's a message from Gareth, one of our founders, but you know him as Candy.

"Coming out is different for everybody. I told my parents when Claire Balding was on telly hosting the Winter Olympics - sending q***r Vibes through our freesat box.

Then I went to Uni and came out all over again.

I'm Gay.

But I'm also a rugby player, a drag queen, a bartender, a potential member of the church of Satan and a damn good cook.

I'm proud of who I am - and nobody can ever tell me otherwise.

My tip is - never feel pressured to come out. Do it when you're ready and do it when you're safe. It's not always easy, but the Bella Cielo family will always be there for you.
