This is Lorna. For years, Lorna hated her stretch marks.
She dressed to hide parts of her body. She avoided big mirrors. And she never imagined she would one day genuinely love the things she had spent so long trying to hide.
I have had the honour of watching this woman grow over four different shoots now. I count her not just as an amazing Diva, but as a friend.
A wicked sense of humour, always a different colour in her hair - and a beautiful heart.
To see her do this Reflections experience was special because this has been at the heart of all her experiences.
Learning to look at herself.
Really look at herself.
And learn to love the woman looking back.
Not wanting her to change, or shrink herself down, but to think “you know what girl, you’re not half bad.”
