This is honestly such an exciting thing for me to see because it really reinforces why I'm making some big changes to Bonnie Braids.

I've always loved braiding hair, but what I've discovered over the years is that I really LOVE teaching people to braid.

There's nothing better than watching someone arrive thinking: "I'll never be able to do this…”
and leave thinking: “I actually did it!” 🙌

And that's a big part of what the next chapter of Bonnie Braids is going to be about — more workshops, more education and more opportunities for you to learn with me.

This is probably one of the questions I'll get most after sharing that regular appointments are coming to an end!

And the answer is: YES! ❤️

Just in a slightly different way.

From 19 September, instead of being in the salon every weekend, I'll be opening selected Bonnie Braids Braid Days throughout the year.

I'll announce the dates through my email list, social media and the website, and you'll be able to book a space on those specific days.

I'll also be continuing with in-person workshops, private braid education and my digital courses — so there are actually going to be more ways to learn with me than ever before.

I'm really excited about this new way of doing things because it means I can spend more time doing the part of Bonnie Braids that I love most… TEACHING. 🥰

The first Braid Day dates will be coming soon!

🎂 4 YEARS OF BONNIE BRAIDS 🎂

Four years ago, I had absolutely no idea where this little idea would take me.

What started with me experimenting with colourful hair in my girls' braids has grown into a business that has allowed me to meet so many incredible people, build an amazing online community and, most importantly, discover just how much I love teaching others to braid.

And as Bonnie Braids gets ready to turn 4, I'm also getting ready to enter a brand-new chapter.

I've talked a little about the changes that are coming, and over the next few weeks I'll be sharing more about what Bonnie Braids is going to look like going forward.

WHY I'M MAKING A CHANGE…

When I started Bonnie Braids, I never imagined where it would take me.

What started with me experimenting with my girls' hair has grown into something I could never have predicted — a business, a community, digital courses, workshops, thousands of people learning to braid and so many amazing people I've had the privilege of meeting along the way.

But as Bonnie Braids has grown, I've realised that the part I love most isn't just doing the braids…

❤️ It's teaching people how to braid ❤️

I love that moment when someone finally gets their hands to work together and suddenly thinks, “Oh my goodness, I can actually do this!” 😍

So I'm making a change.

I'm stepping away from regular weekly appointments and creating more space for education, workshops, digital courses, content and new opportunities to learn with me.

I'll still be doing selected Braid Days and in-person workshops, so I won't be disappearing from the salon — I'm just changing how you can access me.

And honestly?

It feels like the beginning of a really exciting new chapter for Bonnie Braids.

There is SO much I want to create, and I'm really excited to finally have the space to do it.

✨ A NEW CHAPTER FOR BONNIE BRAIDS ✨

If you've been following me for a while, you'll know that Bonnie Braids has grown and changed so much over the last few years.

And now, I'm making another big change....

From Saturday 19th September, I'll be stepping away from regular weekly braid appointments.

This isn't goodbye to in-person braiding though — far from it!

Instead, I'm changing the way I offer my in-person services, so that I can spend more time doing the things I'm really passionate about: teaching, creating and helping more people learn to braid.

Going forward, you'll still be able to braid with me through:

✨ In-person braid workshops
✨ Private braid education
✨ My digital braiding courses

I'll be announcing Braid Days and new workshop dates through my social media and, most importantly, my email list.
