This lovely client hadn’t had her hair coloured for two years, so we had plenty of natural regrowth to work with and a completely fresh canvas for her transformation

🍂 IT’S HAIR SHEDDING SEASON… DON’T PANIC! 🍂

Have you noticed a little more hair than usual in your brush, shower or on your clothes recently? 👀

You’re not imagining it! Some people notice an increase in natural hair shedding around late summer and autumn as more hairs enter the shedding phase of their growth cycle.

So before you convince yourself you’re going bald because of the hair monster in your shower drain… 😂 a little extra shedding can be completely normal.

A few things that can help:
✨ Be gentle when brushing, especially when your hair is wet
✨ Avoid tying your hair back too tightly
✨ Keep on top of regular trims and good-quality home care
✨ Remember — shedding from the root and hair breaking are two different things!

If the shedding feels very sudden, excessive, continues for a long time, you’re noticing bald/patchy areas or you’re worried about it, it’s always worth speaking to your GP rather than just assuming it’s seasonal.

But if you’ve suddenly noticed a few more hairs coming out this autumn… you’re definitely not the only one 🍁🤎

HAIR APPRECIATION POST 🥹👏🏽

The first photo is how my client arrived at her very first appointment with me, after bleaching her hair several times herself at home. I’m not going to lie… I was slightly terrified she was about to ask me to bleach it again 😂

Thankfully, she was happy to trust my advice. We coloured it a gorgeous copper and went for a big chop, instantly making it look and feel so much healthier 🧡

Fast-forward four years to the final photo… LOOK at the length and condition of her hair now! 😍
