Who is The Face Therapist?
Meet your advanced skin practitioner ⬇️

Hi everyone, I’m Helen owner of The Face Therapist, an advanced skincare studio based in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire.

Trained in advanced skincare currently for 3.5years, my journey into become The Face therapist was for me, somewhat a natural progression.

As someone who has battled acne and rosacea for most of my adult life, I became fed up with being at the hands of prescription medication & topical creams that only ever seemed to mask or temporarily correct my skin concerns. I wanted to feel in control of my skins behaviour and was on a mission to better understanding of how to care for my skin and prevent flare ups.

I began researching accredited courses to attend as I’m a big lover of learning. I began board certified VTCT skincare courses in Bedfordshire in 2020, in between lockdowns and emerged from the final lockdown of 2021 a qualified advanced skin specialist.

By then my desire to learn had turned into a passion and one that was focused on pursuing and from this, The Face Therapist was born!

I have continued to train, qualify and expand my treatments to suit a range of skin concerns.

I feel truly lucky that my desire to better understand my own skin has translated into a passion whereby I can now help others work towards and achieve their skin goals, I take great pride in what I do!

Outside of my passion I’m a girl boss, a partner to my husband Matt and mummy to my daughter Maya. I love spending time with those close to me and childcare permitting, I’ll never say no to a coffee date or dinner!

Building The Face Therapist has changed my life, I feel a sense of pride that I made a career changing move into the self-employed/ girl boss life to focus on my passion in helping others. It’s not for the faint hearted but I wouldn’t have it any other way and I love the community of people I’ve met since starting my own journey.

New into the studio, this powerful anti-ageing cream delivers unparalleled skin firming and antioxidant protection, while helping to combat fine lines and brighten skin.

The hero ingredient, 0.5% encapsulated Retinol, is a powerhouse ingredient effective in gently resurfacing and enhancing cellular turnover, boosting collagen, and improving skin health and the appearance of pigmentation.

Retinol can sometimes cause irritation, including redness and peeling, but this formulation contains encapsulated (slow-release) Retinol which is more stable and by drip-feeding the Retinol into the skin minimises the risk of irritation, the perfect formula if you are new to Retinol or worried about inflammation.

This formulation also contains Squalane, providing hydration whilst promoting skin elasticity, alongside antioxidant and anti-inflammatory botanical extracts.
