I turned 40 today. It was a big milestone for me. one of the things on my bucket list before turning 40 was to start my own business and I feel that Pillowboxed has exceeded my expectations. It is the best present I could have given myself and my young family as my boys see first hand what hard but rewarding work owning your own small business is!⠀

It's a lovely thought to know that people will be unwrapping Pillowboxed products on Christmas morning and it will hopefully fill them with the joy that every order fills me with!⠀

Im going to post a few care instructions up in the coming days and weeks as people have been asking. A quick point of reference though, silk is an extremely delicate fabric and needs to be treated as such. Hand wash is preferable but if you are using the machine, use a delicate wash bag, wash at 30 degrees or less and dry naturally. Keep silk out of direct sunlight!⠀🤍🤍🤍⠀

We had a great day yesterday at St. George’s Market, and a great weekend overall!⠀

It is such a different experience, bringing your product face to face with customers as opposed to online. It was so well received by the beautiful people of Belfast, and it filled me full of enthusiasm for the future!!⠀

It was also great that a number of followers called down to see us! It is so lovely to meet a few of you in real life!! And letting my sons get a feel for the market trader life was an added bonus. It's such a tough but rewarding job! My hat goes off to all of the lovely traders that I met and who kept me right... especially Eric who has the bag and purse stall, the man to go to in Belfast for the most amazing leather gifts.
