World Diabetes Day 💙

I don’t think I’ve ever had a year quite like this one. It’s been heavy, messy, emotional, and honestly…a lot to carry. So much has been happening behind the scenes that never made it online - the kind of life stuff that drains you before the day has even started.

And all the while, Type 1 Diabetes is there, doing what it does best… demanding attention at the worst possible moments, interrupting sleep, hijacking plans, and reminding me that even on the hardest days, you don’t get to quit.

But here’s the thing: PumpSkynz has been my anchor through all of it.
Not just the business, the people.
This community.
Every single one of you who sent a message, shared a photo, left feedback, or simply reminded me why I started this in the first place. You’ve kept me going more than you realise.

The socials might have been quieter, but I haven’t been gone. I’ve been building, planning, creating, and holding onto the belief that PumpSkynz can make life with T1D feel better… lighter, brighter, less lonely, more “you”.

And today, on World Diabetes Day, it felt important to say thank you.
Thank you for sticking with me.
Thank you for supporting a tiny brand with a huge heart.
Thank you for being part of something that genuinely matters.

Living with T1D is tough…relentlessly tough…but this community makes it feel a whole lot less isolating.

I’m finding my feet again… and I’m excited for what’s coming next.
We’re only getting started. 💙

Do you and your Diabetes stuff normally get through airport security without any problems?

Getting through security is always my biggest fear at airports! Really impressed with how easy this experience was at Belfast International!!

We got an extra hour in bed, but did you remember to change your insulin pump or CGM reader setting too? A one-hour difference can throw everything off, basal rates, boluses, alarms….so make sure to double-check your settings!

Today is World Diabetes Day, a day to raise awareness, build understanding, and support everyone impacted by diabetes. The blue circle represents unity and the strength of our community as we push for more awareness, better resources, and, ultimately, a cure. 💙
