Shape & Style
Mens Hairstyling Barbers & Grooming
Using the wrong product will ruin a haircut.
I see it every day.
Lads spending good money on a cut, then going home and throwing whatever tin they’ve got lying around into their hair.
Heavy pomade on thick hair.
Greasy wax on fine hair.
Products that fight the style instead of working with it.
The right product should support the haircut, not sabotage it.
Matte clay for texture.
Cream for natural movement.
Pomade for hold and shine.
Use the right thing for your hair and styling becomes easy.
Book a premium tailored haircut and I’ll show you exactly what works for your hair type.

Nearly twenty years behind the chair and still enjoying it.
People sometimes ask why I’m still cutting instead of stepping away or chasing trends online.
Simple answer.
I like the craft.
The conversation.
The regular clients who’ve been coming in for years.
And seeing someone walk out feeling better than when they came in.
A proper barbershop isn’t about gimmicks or cameras.
It’s about doing the job right and looking after the people who trust you with their hair.
If you value that kind of barbering, you’ll fit in well here.

20 years behind the chair teaches you a few things.
Fads come and go.
Trends change.
The haircut stays.
The foundation of any good service is simple.
A clean shop.
A fair price.
Consistent service.
That’s what builds trust. That’s what builds reputation. That’s what keeps clients coming back.
I’ve watched waves of “the next big thing” roll through this industry. The ones who last are the ones who respect the craft and master the basics.
Experience teaches you to stop chasing and start refining ✂️

I’ve cut enough heads to know when something’s right before I can explain why.
That’s not talent.
It’s time behind the chair.
After years of doing this, your eye changes. You stop looking at hair the way clients do. You see balance. Weight. Shape. You feel when a millimetre matters and when it doesn’t.
People think it’s instinct or some natural gift. It’s not. It’s repetition. Thousands of cuts. Same mistakes made once and never again.
Running my own shop forced that even further. You can’t hide behind trends or filters when people are sat in front of you every day. The work has to stand up in real life.
That’s the part of barbering I care about. Craft that holds up. Decisions made with confidence. Knowing why you’re doing something, not just copying it.
If you respect the craft, you’ll get this.

Last week, one to one education day .ie with
covering all things finer detail social media and business. A day well spent
2016 I moved from a garage beside a house into a new build shop.
It was still a building site the day we opened.
I started bringing UK and Irish barbers to Belfast almost immediately.
Education mattered from day one.
At the same time I took my fitness seriously.
Training and dieting for the stage while running the shop and family life.
Four physique competitions. Placed every time.
Fast forward to 2026.
The barbershop is still thriving.
Two other businesses running in the same building.
Still cutting. Still educating. Still building.
Ten years passes either way.
This is what I chose to build in it.
