Why do I refer to the people who come to my aesthetics clinics as patients, rather than clients?

Because I am a nurse, and when you come to me for treatment, you’re my patient—and I have a professional duty of care towards you.

As a registered nurse and independent prescriber, that duty of care doesn’t begin and end with the treatment itself. It means carefully assessing whether a treatment is suitable for you, taking your medical history, discussing the possible risks and realistic outcomes, gaining informed consent and keeping confidential clinical records.

It also means being honest if I don’t believe a treatment is right for you, providing appropriate aftercare and being available should you have any concerns afterwards.

You’re never just an appointment in my diary. When you place your face, your wellbeing and your trust in my hands, I take that responsibility seriously.

Your safety and best interests will always come before carrying out a treatment. 🤍

My regular clinic dates have been filling up, so I’ve added an extra Bellshill clinic on Thursday 24 September. I currently have 1 pm and 2 pm available 🤍

Although I have set clinic days, I know they won’t suit everyone. And since reducing my NHS hours, I’m now able to offer more flexibility

A wee look around Dr Lauren Medical Aesthetics, where I hold my Saturday clinics. It’s a medical-led setting, and I’m an independent nurse prescriber with over four years’ experience in aesthetics. My focus is on subtle results, and always safe appropriate, individualised treatment plans

If it’s your first visit, we’ll have time to sit down, talk through what you’re hoping for and answer your questions. There’s no pressure to decide on a treatment there and then.
