This client has fine hair with shorter layers and sides, so we used teeny tiny nano wefts and carefully worked with the hair she already had rather than trying to force more weight than it could comfortably support.

Straight hair shows everything when it comes to extensions. There is nowhere to hide poor application, incorrect placement or whether it has actually been done properly.

You will often see extensionists only posting photos of their work with curly hair, and that is usually because curls can disguise poor blending or uneven application.

But the thing is, your extensions should still look seamless even when your hair is straight.

This set was created without cutting any of my clients natural hair. She already has naturally thick hair and everything here comes down to correct placement, the right amount of hair and how it has been applied, so it moves with her own hair seamlessly.

If your extensions only blend when curled or wavy, or if your natural hair has been heavily cut or thinned out just to make things sit right, that is not the standard 🚩

One of the biggest things I’ve refined since first training in hair extensions 20 years ago is the art of colour matching.

Very few people have hair that’s just one colour. Most of us have lighter pieces, deeper tones and natural dimension running throughout.

That’s why I rarely use just one colour of extensions.

For this transformation, I custom blended 3 different nano weft shades from to mirror my client’s natural tones and softly brighten her ends, creating a result that blends seamlessly whether it’s worn straight or curled.

It’s the little details that make the biggest difference, and they’re often the difference between extensions that are simply fitted and extensions that truly look like your own hair.
