What does a skin peel do?

🍊 A chemical peel is solution applied to the face to remove dead skin cells and stimulate the growth of new cells.

🍊The aim is to improve the appearance of the skin – for example, by reducing age spots and evening out skin tone. Can help with fine lines and general glow to the skin

🍊There are 3 types of peels, called superficial, medium and deep.

A peel can be tailored to your skin type and address any issues you have.

Can I use retinol after a peel ?
No! Your peel is an exfoliating treatment therefore no need to use a retinoid, aha or a bha for a good 7 days. 14 days for those with sensitive skin.

How long will it take to see results?
Instantly your skin will look fresh and have that “post peel glow”.
Some people peel / flake and some do not. This is not an indication on whether the peel worked or not.

Some people may see have some light flaking in a few localised areas 3-7 days post peel. Some residual glow for up to 12 hours.

I have blackheads. Can this help? Pores and blackheads can be smaller after a week, bacterial load can reduced instantly but p acne bacteria breeds within hours so this needs to be addressed daily.

What about sun damage ?Sun damage may take a course of peels to see good signs but religious spf daily all year round else there’s no point!
