I have seen lots of different posts about the upcoming road closures around Tarpots for the mains replacement works either side of the junction.

I have contacted Cadent to get the definitive Essex Highways approved info from them directly:

25th July - 15th August (Phase 4) - 24/7 works

↔️🚫A13 BETWEEN SADLERS FARM AND THE EASTERN END OF THE TARPOTS SHOPPING PARADE (OUTSIDE 127 LONDON ROAD) WILL BE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC. ACCESS TO PROPERTIES WILL BE MAINTAINED.

↕️🟢HIGH ROAD - RUSHBOTTOM LANE OPEN FOR THROUGH TRAFFIC VIA TARPOTS JUNCTION. NO TURNING ONTO THE A13 IN EITHER DIRECTION

🔄 SADLERS FARM ROUNDABOUT WILL BE OPEN AND ACCESS MAINTAINED ON ALL OTHER EXITS EXCEPT A13 EASTBOUND

↙️↗️ THE ONLY ACCESSES TO THE WIDER ROAD NETWORK WEST AND NORTH OF THE BOROUGH WILL BE VIA THE A127 AT RAYELIGH WEIR AND A130 AT WATERSIDE FARM

‼️DELAYS EXPECTED FOR ALL JOURNEYS INTO AND OUT OF CASTLE POINT, AS WELL AS MANY LOCAL JOURNEYS AROUND THE BOROUGH SO PLEASE PLAN AHEAD‼️

I am meeting with Cadent on Friday morning to get a further briefing from them in person. I have no direct power over local highways matters as the MP, but I understand local Essex County Councillors who do are also meeting with Cadent in the next few days.

Cadent inform me they will also be holding an information stall at Tarpots on Friday afternoon:

Well done to our wonderful podiatrist Manjit Bedi, who today ran his 15th London Marathon in an awesome 3 hours and 26 minutes! - that is only 9 minutes slower than his first London Marathon in 1986 when he was 21 years old, 40 years ago 😱 Just amazing! 🙌🏻🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏾
