What a happy start to this week receiving the email saying that I’ve been selected as a Semi-Finalist in the FACIALIST 2026 Category for the BABTAC & CIBTAC Annual awards. A dream come true!! 🥂🥂 BABTAC and CIBTAC have been a huge part of my career journey from becoming a member soon after qualifying over 20 years ago and being the absolute go-to contact for keeping connected and up to date with beauty regulations, standards, quality and education. It is a real honour to have been selected and to be amongst such talent in the category and industry ✨. I truly love what I do, and have the best clients ever-that in itself feels the biggest award 🥇🤍 Got everything crossed for the next round but feel so chuffed to have got this far and for such lovely recognition, thank you so much 🙏🏻

Weeks like this is when cool therapy really comes into its own 🙌🏻✨🩵 💦 🧊 . A few tips to help keep you cool using your skincare and keeping high colour/reactive skin calm… Pop cream-based products /liquids in the fridge so that you get a gorgeous cool infusion on application • Prepare little ice cubes, then wrap in a cotton cloth and massage over your skin with light lymphatic waves and around your eyes • Use the back of a tea spoon for applying your eye cream • Keep a stack of damp cloths/cotton pads in a Tupperware in the fridge and use them as cooling compresses over your eyes and skin or use to sweep over your hydrating tonic 🤍 Enjoy 🧘♀️

Anyone feeling the effects of hayfever with itchy, irritated eyes? Try using cooling compresses of Eyebright- I find it such a soothing eye tonic and I’d be lost without it for my own eyes and in every treatment I do! I’d say I get through about a bottle every two weeks, it’s that good! Saturate two cooled cotton pads (keep a batch in a Tupperware in the fridge) and press over both eyes.. leave on for as long as you can, and as often as you like 🤍 I love to use the giant pads, apply pressure all around the orbital bone, over the Eyebright compresses and will often layer with a cool folded cloth for the ultimate de-puffing, soothing and hydrating fix 🙌🏻 (it also works beautifully as a light eye make up remover 👌🏼)
