Fear has a funny way of convincing us that staying where we are is safer than finding out what we’re capable of.
Sometimes that fear is obvious. Other times it hides behind expectations. We tell ourselves we should be stronger by now, more flexible, more successful, further ahead.
But growth doesn’t happen when everything feels comfortable. It happens when we stay curious enough to keep exploring, even when the outcome is uncertain.
That’s one of the greatest gifts yoga has given me. Not a pose. Not flexibility. A willingness to meet myself as I am today, let go of who I think I should be, and keep showing up anyway.
What fear have you been negotiating with lately?
Some days the workout doesn’t happen despite your best intentions.
Some days you improvise and your “kettlebell” suddenly starts laughing. 😆
Motherhood has taught me that consistency isn’t about perfect routines. It’s about adapting. Movement doesn’t always have to look serious to be effective, and sometimes the best workouts come with the biggest smiles.
Summer holidays: making gains… one laundry bag swing at a time. 💪😂
There’s something fascinating about the body.
It doesn’t just reflect how we move, it reflects how we live. The stress we carry, the ways we protect ourselves, the habits we’ve repeated for years. None of it is wrong. The body is simply doing what it believes it needs to do.
That’s why I don’t see massage as fixing people. I see it as creating a space where the body feels safe enough to soften, to breathe a little deeper and, sometimes, to let go.
Not because I’ve made it. Because your body has remembered that it can.
Whether you believe in astrology or simply use it as a moment to pause and reflect, I love the symbolism of the full moon.
It’s said to be a time for releasing. Not because everything magically disappears overnight, but because letting go starts with an intention.
Backbends have always been that practice for me. They don’t solve my problems, but they soften the grip I have on them. I come out lighter, less attached, less worried. Somewhere between the breath and the discomfort, my body remembers something my mind forgot.
This Aquarius full moon, I’m practising releasing the need to fit in, old stories, and the things I’ve been carrying simply because they’ve become familiar.
I surrender.
I accept.
I let go.
Some things take longer to release than others. That’s okay. The intention is there, and sometimes that’s where the work begins.

Some trips blur into one.
Others stay with you forever.
Not because of the destination alone, but because of the people you meet, the conversations you have, the moments you didn’t expect, and how you feel when you finally slow down.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to put yourself first this year, maybe this is it.
Join us in the Tuscan mountains from 21–25 September for five days of yoga, breathwork, sound healing, Thai massage, incredible food, beautiful scenery and the chance to reconnect with yourself.

I don’t know whether to be impressed or slightly concerned. 😂
I’ve spent years practising locust, and my 19-month-old has somehow decided it’s his pose too… despite the fact I never actually taught him.
Maybe all those backbends during pregnancy really did have an effect. Maybe the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Either way, watching him proudly attempt it three times had me laughing. The best part? He wasn’t trying to get it “right”. He was just curious, playful and giving it a go.
There’s probably a lesson in that for the rest of us.
RESET. REFLECT. RENEW.
Sometimes the best thing you can do isn’t push harder… it’s pause, breathe and reconnect.
At Renew Hot Yoga, our classes are about so much more than flexibility. They’re about building resilience, finding calm in the heat, and discovering what you’re capable of—one breath at a time.
