A piercing gun forces a blunt stud through the ear with pressure.
It’s loud, it can be more painful than people expect, and because the gun itself is plastic, it CAN’T be sterilised, making the whole procedure non-sterile.

We only pierce with sterile, single-use needles and sterile surgical tools and jewellery.
It takes a little longer, but it’s controlled and gentle, creating clean space for the jewellery rather than shoving metal through tissue.
That usually means less swelling, easier healing, and a massively reduced risk of infection.
