✨ A Respectful Reminder About Our Cancellation Policy ✨

This isn’t a post we particularly enjoy writing, but unfortunately it needs to be said.

Recently, we’ve seen an increase in last-minute cancellations, no-shows where clients simply do not turn up.

We completely understand that life happens and sometimes plans genuinely have to change. However, not turning up without contacting your stylist or therapist is simply disrespectful.

90% of our team are self-employed. If you don’t attend your appointment, they don’t get paid for that time.

Think of it this way…

If you worked on a supermarket checkout and nobody used your till for an hour, would it be fair for your manager to say, “Nobody came through your till, so you won’t be paid for that hour”?

That’s essentially what happens when an appointment is missed.

Our cancellation policy isn’t there to make money — it’s there to protect our team’s time and income.

Unfortunately, we’re also seeing cancellation fees ignored and messages regarding payment being ghosted.

If this continues, we will have no option but to introduce a salon-wide 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure all appointments.

This isn’t something we want to do, but we have to protect the businesses and livelihoods of our team.

To the vast majority of our clients who arrive on time, communicate with us and respect our cancellation policy — thank you. We appreciate you more than you know. 💚

Your appointment is someone’s income. Please respect it. 🤍

We’re so excited to welcome Monica to The Elite Retreat Salon! 💚

Monica will be joining our team from Monday 27th July and will be with us every Monday and Wednesday to start with to support us with client demand.

With 13 years of hairdressing experience, Monica has worked in two busy city-centre salons in Sheffield before taking the leap to open her own salon, Studio23.

After spending the last year travelling the world with her husband and dog in their campervan, she’s now back home and ready for her next chapter with us ✨

Monica is a Blonde & Balayage Specialist and, in 2021, achieved her Wella Master Colour Expert qualification – one of the industry’s most respected colour degrees. Her passion is creating beautiful, bespoke colours and helping every client leave the salon feeling confident and amazing.
