We’re making the next set of road-layout changes at Black Cat roundabout this weekend. 🚧

From 5am on Monday, motorists approaching the Black Cat roundabout on the A1 southbound should be prepared for a revised layout and new signage.

Traffic will switch onto a new section of road. Two lanes will remain open, so you can continue your journey with minimal disruption.

➡️ Left lane for A1 southbound, A421, M1, and Bedford Road.
➡️ Right lane for A1 northbound, A421 and M1. Please be aware this lane has a two-metre width restriction.

Drivers heading towards the A421 or M1 should merge in turn on the roundabout after passing the temporary traffic lights.

In early December, we will open both lanes of the A421 westbound from the Black Cat roundabout - allowing access from both lanes of the roundabout. This will remove the need for traffic to merge and help the flow of traffic.

Changes to the A1 northbound approach to Black Cat roundabout will follow next weekend.

Due to the rise of cost we will be increasing our prices from the 1st of September. New Price list on display in our salon .
