The 12 meter diameter B-Stage has been manufactured using the TNS frame and beam staging system, the custom fabricated decks have been supplied utilising our proprietary deck extrusion with birch plywood tops CNC profiled in house and coated in our slip resistant finish.
The six opening Petal Decks are driven by custom hydraulic units which were custom manufactured for The Next Stage by the talented team at Stage One Creative Services.
To compliment the B Stage, we supplied 8 step units which housed fountain and lighting FX, each unit was designed to hold 700L of water to feed the fountains. Close collaboration with the team at ER Productions helped to integrate all of the effects into the step units.
The whole B-Stage was finally scenically treated by Catherine Briggs and her team.

The main stage was fabricated using our own TNS frame/beam and decking system, allowing for a large open structure (underworld) below the stage giving room for performer changing/ prop storage and show logistics.
The structure in short consisted of three levels and incorporated a main performer prop lift/ by-parting steps/rear access steps/side access steps/ lighting shelves all finished with a non slip finish and scenically treated by hand.

A very proud moment:
Six months of hard work and Take That The Circus Live is on tour around the UK.
A huge thank you to Take That and Chris Vaughan for choosing The Next Stage to build this amazing set.
There are a select few stage set manufacturers who have the experience, skill set and knowledge to design and build a touring stage on this scale, to such a high standard.
We look forward to showcasing the different elements of this magnificent ensemble show.

Everybody Scream!
The Next Stage were delighted to be asked by Silent House to provide the stage for Florence and the Machine’s arena tour Everybody Scream.
Kicking off in Belfast before a run of UK and European dates, the tour travels to North America for shows across the USA and Canada.
The brief involved a long thrust of decking to get the artist out into the arena for a more intimate concert experience. A lot of extra elements were integrated into the piece of staging including, lighting shelves, vents for smoke machines and fans and a set of fold down, pantograph steps to allow for a dramatic entrance for the artist.
An intricately painted band riser was designed to break into sections that can be manoeuvred into position for a festival changeover.
Test built and artworked at our Bedfordshire Workshop.

With Ed Sheeran’s loop tour kicking off in New Zealand last weekend The Next Stage are proud to share their involvement with this huge project.
Staying true to form of putting on huge outdoor shows this latest tour sees a huge video screen forming the backdrop to the stage. With no traditional roof system, the stage design uses a large steel structure backstage to support everything.
The Next Stage built the ‘Gondola’ structures that cover the steelwork and hang the PA system.
These brushed aluminium clad pieces were shining in the Aukland sun last weekend.
As with all our projects, the items were custom fabricated, and test built in our Bedfordshire workshop.

Benson Boone European Festival tour 2025
With Benson Boone’s “American Heart" tour coming to the UK this month, we look back at our summer supporting the man of the moment.
It was great to hear from our old friend Paul English who contacted The Next Stage to see if we could help him out with a small set for Benson Boone’s European festival run. We set about putting together a rental package based on Paul’s brief.
We supplied three 10’ diameter rolling risers with the top surface and hard fascia finished in silver aluminium composite panels. We created a rear walkway with ramped returns at either end with integrated Pixel Line lights across the front with consideration given to how it could breakdown for ease of movement and storage backstage.
It was great to work with Paul again on what we all thought was a great little project.
