I may be the one with the fashion account, but let’s be VERY clear about where I learnt it from…🤭

We might have landed in completely different decades — I’m permanently stuck somewhere in the 1950s while Mum is living her best funky 70s life — but she taught me pretty much everything I know about clothes, styling and, most importantly, wearing whatever the hell you want with confidence. 🙌🏼❤️

My first EVER full Twinwood Festival!

I was very kindly taken in by the Watsons, who somehow survived an entire weekend with me! 😭 They gave me shelter, fed me, danced with me, laughed with me, tolerated the general chaos that seems to follow me wherever I go — and gave me memories I’ll genuinely cherish. Some of the kindest and most fun humans I know, and I honestly wouldn’t have had my first proper Twinwood any other way. ❤️

The weekend consisted of dancing until our feet practically fell off, laughing until our stomachs hurt, spending an irresponsible amount of time AND money around the vintage stalls, getting rained on, briefly NOT getting rained on… and experiencing some fairly catastrophic wardrobe malfunctions. 💀

Turns out my enthusiasm for Lindy Hop was considerably stronger than the structural integrity of my dresses. In the wise words of Dirty Dancing, “God wouldn’t have given you maracas if he didn’t want you to SHAKE THEM.” And shake them I did. 😭💃🏼

But underneath all the chaos, what makes weekends like this so special to me will always be the company. ❤️

I’ve known so many of these beautiful souls for years, and it genuinely doesn’t matter whether it’s been months since I last saw them or whether we saw each other the day before — being greeted with that same massive, tight hug every single time is a feeling I don’t think I’ll ever get over. 🥹

I’ve always looked up to so many of them for their incredible dancing, but I admire them even more for who they are off the dance floor. The kindness, the humour, the way everyone looks out for one another — I feel incredibly lucky that something I love so much has given me a little family like this.

The music brings me joy. The dancing brings me joy. But sharing it all with this lot is what really fills my heart. And Twinwood somehow feels like that one weekend where the whole slightly unhinged family gets together. ❤️

This year I found my self developing a new hobby. Larping! which has since turned into a little bit of an obsession 🙌🏼

The inspiration for my character draws heavily on my 1950s femme fatale aesthetic. Basically - what would have Sophia Loren worn to a larp? And somehow trying to fit that into the world of 🤣

So I present to you Roselia Thorne, a wandering rose seller turned matchmaker 🌹…and slight beer addict!

Apparently plum is my colour... and made SURE I knew it 🍇💕

I genuinely lost count of how many compliments I got wearing this combo from
The Jitterbug Pencil Skirt with the Polly Shirt, both in Plum - an absolutely lethal pairing! 🤭

Mike and Charlene saved me on multiple occasions throughout the weekend (which WILL be getting its own dedicated video because there is lore a), but Charlene suggesting this combo?!🙌🏼
