Once Upon a Time…
Once upon a time, in a little corner of the world called Billericay , there lived a man and a woman who were closer to each other than either of them could ever have imagined.
For ten whole years, their homes were just minutes apart.
Minutes!
Two people living almost on each other’s doorstep, sharing the same roads, passing the same places, breathing the same air… yet somehow, their paths never truly crossed.
It was as though the universe was keeping a secret.
Then, about six years ago, fate gave them their first little glimpse of what was to come.
The woman’s car broke down, and like superman along came a man.
He stopped to help her, rescuing her from her troublesome car and, without either of them knowing it, leaving behind a memory that would stay with her for years.
Because the woman fell for him.
Not loudly. Not dramatically.
Just quietly, hopelessly, secretly.
And then, just as quickly as he had appeared…
he disappeared.
Years passed.
Life carried them both along different difficult paths, while the woman occasionally wondered about the man she had never really had the chance to know.
Until, one ordinary day, almost a year ago, something extraordinary happened.
The woman found herself at a Marks & Spencer petrol garage, wearing her pyjamas, messy hair and absolutely no intention of meeting the man of her dreams.
And then…
he pulled up in his car for petrol.
Her heart stopped.
Of all the people she could have bumped into that day, it had to be him.
The man she had never quite forgotten.
Panic took over.
So, naturally, she did the only sensible thing a woman can do when confronted with the man of her dreams while wearing pyjamas and having messy hair…
She hid in the aisle of the shop.
But perhaps fate had finally decided that ten years was long enough.
Because this time, he didn't disappear.
Instead, he randomly found her.
He added her on Facebook.
And then came the message that would change both of their lives:
“Would you like to go for a coffee?”
One coffee.
That was all it took.
They met.
They talked.
They laughed.
And somewhere between that first coffee and the countless moments that followed, something magical happened.
They fell in love.
Not slowly.
Not cautiously.
But completely.
Madly.
Hopelessly.
The kind of love that makes you wonder how you ever lived without the other person.
From that day on, they didn't want to waste another second.
They haven't gone a single day without seeing each other.
Because after spending ten years just minutes apart, they had finally found each other.
And once they had…
they never wanted to be apart again.
Then, as if their story couldn't possibly become any more magical, they booked a last-minute holiday to Santorini.
Just the two of them.
Sunshine.
Blue skies.
The sparkling sea.
Whitewashed buildings.
And a happiness neither of them could have imagined all those years ago.
They made memories that would stay with them forever.
They laughed.
They explored.
They held each other.
They watched the sunsets.
And somewhere on that beautiful Greek island, with the sea stretching endlessly before them, the man who had once been just minutes away finally asked the woman who had waited so long for him the question that would change their lives forever.
“Will you marry me?”
And she said…
“Yes.”
Of course she did.
Because sometimes the greatest love stories don't begin when two people meet.
Sometimes they begin long before that.
Sometimes two people can live twenty seconds apart for ten years, cross paths only once, lose each other completely, and somehow still find their way back to one another.
Because perhaps they weren't late.
Perhaps they were simply waiting.
Waiting for the right moment.
Waiting for the right time.
Waiting until they were both ready to find the love that had been quietly waiting for them all along.
And so, after ten years of being just minutes apart, their forever finally began.
The man.
The woman.
The girl who once hid in a petrol station aisle in her pyjamas.
The boy who stopped to rescue her car six years earlier.
The coffee that changed everything.
The spontaneous trip to Santorini.
The proposal on the beach.
And a love that proved that sometimes…
the person you've been waiting for has been closer than you ever knew.
And they lived…

Massive thank you to everyone that moved appointment times last minute , and extra thanks to our lovely Lisa for organising EVERYTHING, she’s been amazing! Not only did she get us a better deal, she did everything for us including check in , sorted our plane seats, our airport lounge, even when the hotel had a slight hiccup ( hotels mess up not Lisa’s ) she was on hand within 30 seconds and had it all sorted within minutes for us.
If anyone’s planning a break future or last minute have a chat with her 🥰

Had the best afternoon catching up with this beautiful soul I get to call my lovely friend today, she introduced me to a lovely new place In Stanford le hope, the staff were all just so welcoming and lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, the food is all not only super tasty and delicious its made with such detail and care and all looks amazing too, amazing coffee -we all know I’m a fuss pot with coffee and it’s got my vote 💯, there’s crystals and crystal water bottles for sale it wasn’t expensive in all honesty ild have paid more than it actually cost and my pictures just don’t do it justice , totally worth a visit what a lovely little find!

SORRY SORRY SORRY!
I’m so sorry for having to let a few of you down the last few weeks, I’ve spent the last three weeks doing what I can work wise but I’ve been struggling with a severe kidney infection which got semi better and then decided to hit me again. 🙈

Following that the night before last I felt funny not sure if it’s anti-b related or a little bug I’ve picked up but I’ve been in bed very very poorly ever since.

I hate letting you all down especially when I know a lot of you are going away I can only apologise to you. Thank you for all being so understanding and checking on me. Hoping to be back and feeling normal by Monday after some rest x
