Peri-menopause is a huge hormonal shift, and your skin often shows it first.
I see this every day in the treatment room, and understanding what is happening makes everything feel more manageable.
So here are the five skin changes I hear about most, and what actually helps each one.
1. Dryness and tightness
oestrogen supports your skin's natural moisture barrier. As it declines, skin can feel tight, flaky, uncomfortable.
What helps: A gentle, hydrating cleanser (not foaming), a hyaluronic acid serum, and a richer moisturiser than you used in your thirties. Professional facials with deep hydration can make a real difference.
2. Fine lines appearing faster
