Hi, its Sophie here!
I decided to close Flo Botanicals in June 2024 as it had become too overwhelming with working full time and being a Mum.
I have had some significant life changes over the last few months, and I am navigating divorce alongside all of the above.
I am re-discovering myself and my passion, and making essential oil products is part of that.
I have dusted off my equipment and I am making small batches of products whilst I figure out what the next chapter looks like.
I will post updates of available stock, but if you would like to purchase/order anything, please send me a message and I'd be happy to help.

It’s the week of our final event before closing.
I know a few of you were hoping to visit us in Lichfield in July, but we won’t have enough stock for 2 more markets, so Leamington will be our final goodbye.
Any remaining stock I will post on the website then shut for good around mid July.
It’s going to be an emotional week, it seems so poignant that our last event will be in Leamington, a place we have met some incredible people, both customers and fellow traders, and made some incredible memories.
We are excited to see what the future holds. 💚

We couldn’t close Flo Botanicals without finishing our planned events.
We LOVE meeting new and regular customers at markets, so it’s going to feel bittersweet to only have 2 left but we plan on making the most of it and will be bringing plenty of stock.

I write this with tears in my eyes..

The time has come for Flo Botanicals to close.
I started way back in 2019 before anyone knew what covid was. I was a single mum, working 60-hour weeks and living with chronic endometriosis and depression. My physical and mental health needed care, and that's how it all started, almost 5 years ago! There were people that laughed at the idea of *me* starting a business, so to make it this far feels incredible, and my passion for essential oil products has never changed, but there are some things that have ...

For so many reasons, which I won't go into now, prices everywhere have skyrocketed. We absorbed some of that cost increase in relation to supplies and materials, but it has continued to spiral. It costs around £1000 a year just to run the website & pay insurance, and in real terms, that's around 200 wax melt tubes, just to break even, with no account for the time & electricity it takes to lovingly make these products.

Please believe me when I say we have tried everything to avoid this, but the only word that really describes us, & many other small businesses, is *unsustainable*.

I have met so many incredible people throughout this journey and made some wonderful friendships, and I can't thank you enough for your support.

I'm trying so hard not to see this as a failure, Flo Botanicals has been like a second child to me & has kept me going through some really difficult times.

We have a few more events planned for June & and July. I'll share more details soon, and then the website will close for the final time.

What a weekend!!
We hope you all had a lovely Easter & managed to enjoy the long weekend.
It was a mixed one for us.
In my day job as a paediatric nurse I don’t get bank holidays off, so I worked on Friday.
Saturday we had a lovely family day.
Sunday we were at Leamington Market, much quieter being Easter Sunday, but we were grateful for everyone who stopped to speak to, or buy from us.
Monday we were due to attend Stratford Upon Avon market but my husband, Jon, came down with food poisoning & it’s not something I can really do solo.
We make a considerable loss when unable to attend events, so I have put some amazing deals onto the website for this week.

Essential oil candles - normally £25, now £18. This is the lowest price we have EVER sold them for! You’ll get around 40 hours of burn time in each candle. An absolute bargain for the high quality oils & wax.
