Itβs bees so cold & wet but our honeybees have been busy & this was in Quinton Birmingham today. They have moved to their new home on our Association Apiary in Harborne
These honeybees have started building beeswax comb in the roof cavity- they are telling the beekeeper (me!) that they need more space & by the size of the cells (extra large) I can tell they want the queen bee to lay male bees - drones. β€οΈπ the season is starting in south Birmingham
Lots of yellow pollen going into the hive which suggests thereβs lots of larvae to feed a good sign. Itβs still too early to look in the colony I need to be patient & leave them alone for now! π.
