I love trying something different and I wasn't entirely sure if it was possible to recreate the charcoal effect, but after drawing up a stencil, I'd worked out how I was going to approach it. Such fun to do and really pleased how it turned out. Client suggested the stencil on its own might appeal to someone?

Last year I held a one day fundraiser in memory of my brother in law Andrew and nephew Jaydn. It was an amazing, incredibly emotional day and we raised almost £350 for A Place Called Here, an amazing local charity who help those bereaved by su***de.

I've been asked a couple of times, if I'm doing another this year and unfortunately my personal circumstances just don't allow it. My mothers dementia has advanced horrendously in the 12 months and having that many strangers coming in and out in one day, would distress her too much. The time it took to organise and set up on the day, also....

Unfortunately su***de will always be a shadow in our lives, the world's funniest brother in law and my lovely nephew with so much ahead of him, gone at 18...
So, this year instead, I will donate £10 from every mental health tattoo I do, throughout the year, not just on one day to A Place Called Here. These will all be in a folder on my bio

For Andrew and Jaydn, love you always

A deeply personal tribute for the two tiny babies the family never got to hold in their arms, but hold in their hearts forever xx

I love these and the amount of detail we squeezed on. And what's more fitting for a PT?

My first tattoo, 2 years ago, yeh I'm a late starter. It took me 18 years to find something to commemorate losing my dad. He's half Chinese, half Jamaican and between those two cultures alone there were so many choices. None of them ever seemed to be something I wouldn't grow tired of or regret, so it just never happened.

Then I did a photo stencil for a client, who ended up going with a different design, and it hit me, that was it, my favourite photo, me looking at my dad like an absolute hero and him just looking down on me with so much love and hope.....

It faces me as I work. This tattoo is for me, I don't care it doesn't follow the traditional direction..... Everytime there's a doubt or something isn't quite going to plan, it encourages me to believe in myself and carry on.

I've been thinking of adding to it for a while now and my mum's dementia and all the tough times I've been through the last 3 years and the ones I've still to face are the inspo being it. Little forget-me-nots .

A tattoo is so much more than ink. It's a memory, it's hope, it's encouragement, it's something deeply personal, it's a reminder, it's your happy thoughts and sometimes your sad ones..... there's a reason people love tattoos!
