I can’t guarantee exactly how your permanent makeup will heal and here’s why.
Everybody’s skin is different.
We can predict how your skin might take the pigment, but we don’t truly know until we see it healed.
Think of it a little bit like drawing onto different surfaces; for example paper, fabric, foil, card.
The same pigment can behave completely differently depending on the surface.
Your skin is your canvas.
That’s why I always work cautiously because I’d much rather build the colour up gradually because it’s far easier to add to it than to take away.
Most clients won’t need more than their usual top up, but occasionally somebody may heal lighter than expected and they might need a second top up.
It’s not common, but it does happen and it’s important to understand that it doesn’t mean that your treatment hasn’t worked.
If we try to put too much pigment in from the start, we risk overloading or oversaturating the skin, which can lead to discoloration.
