Short graduation with beard trim practicing for my assessment 🤞

Learning foils getting the hand of the weave application now still need to tweak a few things but pretty chuffed with the end result

My first attempt at a fade it’s hard to see the clear result due to the sewing lines on a block but really enjoyed learning this cut and the different grades to achieve the end result
I went with a medium fade and used a trimmer and clippers with a 1,2,1.5 and 2.5 guard

Uniform layered cut for assessment today
Client had grown out short graduation and wanted more movement but to keep the length 👌🏼❤️ advised to keep growing his hair out to get the best possible outcome and to trim at a follow up appointment in 5-6 weeks

My first attempt t the short graduation cut started so well until I miss judged the angle and chopped the fringe wrong but every days is a learning process

We have been learning to cut with clippers this week for a short graduation cut not an easy process but getting the hang of it now

A before and after picture client had a previous outgrown one length cut and fancied something with more movement and texture, I did a uniformed layer cut to fulfill the clients wish, I cut about 2 inch off to enhance the cut and bring out the layers to compliment to facial shape

One length cut on a client- client had very long hair that was uneven and looking very thin on the ends,after the cut the hair not only looks so much healthier but feels thicker and healthier,client was not wearing a gown due to disabilities and not liking the feel of restrictions a gown can implement,aftercare was provided to ensure the cut lasts longer and to get the full effects. Client was very happy with the cut and says I can do it again when needed 👌🏼😍

we started cutting 🥳 ok I’ll admit I thought it would be a walk in the park as I can cut paper right 🤷🏼‍♀️
wrong!!! 😩🤦🏼‍♀️ oh how silly of me to assume it’s one of the most difficult things I’ve ever tried to do, I can’t hold the scissors correct for a start
I clearly need a ruler or tape measure because I can’t cut straight or know the difference from an inch 😂 guesstimate is not an option when it comes to precision haircuts 💇‍♀️ and it’s so complicated BUT I have all faith in my tutor to teach me how to conquer the cuts!! I know that in time I’ll look back and say wow I’ve come a long way
