I genuinely cannot believe I’m writing this…
I’m officially a FINALIST for Makeup Artist of the Year 2026 at the The UK Hair and Beauty Awards. 🖤✨
To say I’m shocked would be an understatement. I’ve read it about 100 times already and I’m still not convinced they’ve got the right Antonia. 😂
This means so much to me, not just because of the award itself, but because of everything House of Meraki has become.
When I created my studio, I wanted it to be more than somewhere people came to have their makeup done. I wanted it to be a safe space. Somewhere people could walk through the door, be completely themselves, and know they would be welcomed exactly as they are.
So many of my incredible clients have trusted me with not only their faces, but their confidence, their stories, and some really important moments in their lives. That trust is something I never take for granted.
Awards are wonderful, but the thing I’m proudest of will always be the community we’re building at House of Meraki—a place where people can show up as themselves and know they’re welcome.
To every single person who has sat in my chair, supported my business, recommended me, shared my work, or simply believed in what I’m trying to create, thank you. This means more than you’ll ever know.
I’m still completely overwhelmed, incredibly grateful, and maybe just a little bit emotional. 🥹
