The three things I think every good hairdresser needs 🤍

Extensions shouldn’t hurt.
If you saw my video of a correction I had to fix, you’ll recognise these pictures.
Let me reiterate, a little awareness of your extensions is normal, particularly after a fresh fitting… but ongoing pain, excessive tension or discomfort in specific areas isn’t something you should feel like you just have to put up with.
Your extensions should also be checked if something simply doesn’t feel right. Pulling, tightness, sore areas or anything that’s making you uncomfortable is worth speaking to your extensionist about 🙏🏼
And please don’t worry about feeling awkward or like you’re complaining. A good extensionist would always rather you say something than sit at home in pain.
Sometimes it’s a simple adjustment. Sometimes something needs removing or refitting. Either way, your natural hair and scalp health should always come before the extensions.
If in doubt, get them checked. 🤍

“I just want thicker hair.”
Sounds simple enough right?… but this is where knowing extensions, not just how to fit them, really matters 👀
Because there isn’t one method, one amount of hair or one placement that’s right for every client.
I’m looking at their natural density, hair condition, where they actually need the thickness, how they wear their hair, what maintenance will work for them and, most importantly, what they’re hoping to see when they look in the mirror.
Sometimes individuals give me the freedom to add density exactly where it’s needed. Sometimes a weft makes more sense. And sometimes, combining methods is what creates the most seamless, tailored result.
The extensions should fit the client — not the client fit the method!!
And this is a huge part of what I teach in training. Not just how to fit hair, but how to look at the person sitting in front of you and confidently decide what will work best for their hair.
Because that’s the knowledge you take back to the salon and use on every client who sits in your chair!
Whether you’re completely new to extensions or you’re already fitting hair and want to add another method, refine your skills or feel more confident in your work… one focused day of training can make a huge difference.
And if you want to know whether my training is actually right for you, comment TRAINING below.
You won’t get an automated link or a copy-and-paste sales message trying to convince you to book.
You’ll get me 🙋🏽‍♀️
A real message from a real person who’s spent nearly 10 years specialising in extensions and 20 years in hairdressing. I’ll ask where you’re at, what you want to improve and tell you which training I genuinely think would benefit you.
Because one day of the right training can improve your skills, your confidence, the service you offer your clients, and ultimately, your income.
Comment TRAINING and I’ll message you personally 🤍

I can look at an install and pretty quickly see where something might cause problems later 👀🤣
Sectioning. Placement. Tension. Weight. Colour matching. Blending.
They can seem like small details, but they’re often the difference between an install that simply looks good when the client leaves… and one that still feels comfortable, looks good and holds up when they come back for their refit.
And these are the things I really focus on when I teach.
I don’t want you to leave knowing how to just fit extensions. I want you to understand why you’re placing the hair where you are, what you’re looking for and how to adapt when the next head of hair is completely different.
Because that’s where the confidence comes from 🤍
My next training day is 21st September in Blackpool.

Learning more than one method isn’t just about being able to offer more services. It means having more options when a client sits in your chair.
Some clients need the coverage and fullness of a weft. Some might only need 50 individuals to add thickness. And sometimes, I’ll use a weft for the main body of hair and individuals exactly where I need that extra control and placement.
Because not every head of hair needs the same solution 🙌🏼
The more methods you understand, the more you can look at the hair in front of you and confidently decide what’s actually going to give your client the best result.
And if there’s one specific method or area you want to master, my Bespoke 1:1 Training can be completely tailored to you — you tell me what you want to work on and we build the training around it 🤍
My next training day is 21st September in Blackpool.
