A little re-introduction…

Hi, I’m Jodi, the face behind Femme Lounge. 🤍

I thought it was about time I properly introduced myself, especially with so many exciting things happening behind the scenes.

I’m a mum to two little boys, I recently got married this year, and somehow I’m also coming up to the first birthday of Femme Lounge… which honestly feels surreal. 🥹

Before starting Femme Lounge, I was a dental nurse. I took a huge leap of faith and decided to build something of my own from the ground up and watching it grow into what it is today has been one of the biggest achievements of my life.

Femme Lounge started as a vision for a private, 1:1 luxury beauty space, but my vision has grown so much bigger than that.

I’m passionate about continuously developing my skills and becoming a true specialist in the treatments I offer, whilst creating an environment where women can come in, switch off and leave feeling amazing within themselves. ✨

But I also want Femme Lounge to become a place for community.

A space where women can connect, network, collaborate, support one another and feel inspired, both clients and other women within the beauty industry.

I’m currently working behind the scenes on my Glass Nail Masterclass, something I’ve wanted to create for other qualified nail professionals for a long time. 🎓

And I’ve also recently started an exciting new venture with Tropic, which is opening up a whole new chapter for me, bringing together beauty, wellbeing, community and events in a way that feels so aligned with the vision I have for Femme Lounge. 🤍

And then, to top off what has already been such a huge year…

Femme Lounge is officially a finalist for Best New Business at the UK Small Business Awards 2026. 🥹✨

From taking that first leap of faith to almost reaching our first birthday, I genuinely couldn’t have imagined everything that would happen along the way.

I had to be her , to become her …

Taking it right back to where it all started , had a sudden drive to start my own business thinking i’d succeed straight away.

Comparing my chapter one to someone else’s chapter 10. At that point in the early stages i felt like i wasn’t good enough and constantly self doubted my ability to succeed in this industry. Wanting to give up multiple times and felt like a failure or not good enough.

But some just don’t realise it TAKES TIME. Building clientele , trust , consistency, experience! This is a reminder to the people out there in the early stages of getting there business up off the ground. believe in yourself and you’ll reap the rewards.

Just keep going and pushing and when times feel tough and hard it’s there for a reason to make you feel uncomfortable. If you get past that feeling you are meant to be where your meant to be.
