Brooke's Lounge are offering a wonderful opportunity for someone with a passion for food and love for cooking to work within a very exciting business due to open Autumn 2021. At Brooke's Lounge - Holistic care and café will be providing a variety of services alongside the cafe. We will be offering vegetarian and vegan options only within a brunch style menu, encouraging close work with locally sourced produce and independent companies in the surronding area.

We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in food and cooking, previous experience is not required as long as the successful applicant is willing to learn and be a part of our wonderful team. There will be brilliant training given for all food and recipes on the menu to ensure continuity on presentation and taste is in uniform with fellow colleagues. The training will be ongoing from our specialist Consultant throughout the business year, refreshing the menu seasonally and keeping things exciting. Unlike the majority of Chef roles, a work life balance will be catered to with no split shifts or late closures, with this
balance also being reflected in the generous holiday entitlement.

The ideal candidate will need:

-Ability to motivate and be part of a team

-Give guidance and support to colleagues when required

-Offer a warming and welcoming environment to customers

-Ensure you and the team provide the best possible standard of service

-Knowledge and versatility with current cooking trends and dietary
requirements

-Previous experience in the same or similar position in a kitchen / café environment is disierable but not essential

-To encompass the knowledge and l capability to work singularly running service and a small kitchen

-The capability and skill to produce high standard food in a time efficient manner with continuity in presentation and taste

-Passion for experimenting and developing new flavours

-Ensure all equipment is maintained to the correct standard

-Strong knowledge of food principles and ingredients

-Cover other relevant areas of the business as required

-Carry out regular consistent stock checks, to make sure perishable are used in a timely and effective manner and to keep food/ ingredients stored properly

-Ensures to always keep a clean tidy and high hygiene standards in the work place

Position Information:

Hours: 40 hours per week (fulltime)

Holiday entitlement: 6 weeks per year inclusive of bank holidays
