Just a little heads up for my lovely clients 💛

There are major gas works taking place on Chichester Road between 1st June – 25th September 2026, which may affect travel times if your usual route to Boulevard Beauty is via Chichester Road.

✨ Important to know:
💛 Access to Boulevard Beauty via Victoria Drive is NOT affected
💛 Diversions will be in place via the Bersted Bypass and Shripney Road
💛 Please allow a little extra travel time for appointments during this period
💛 If you’re running late because of traffic chaos, please just keep me updated 😅

The works are happening in 3 phases and dates may change depending on progress, so I’ll try to keep everyone updated where I can 💛

🚧 Phase 1: 1st June – 22nd June
🚧 Phase 2: 22nd June – 21st August
🚧 Phase 3: 24th August – 25th September

A few little prep tips can make SUCH a difference 👇

✨ Exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment
✨ Moisturise regularly leading up to your wax
✨ Make sure the hair is long enough (roughly grain-of-rice length!)
✨ Avoid shaving between appointments if you can
✨ Wear loose comfy clothing afterwards
✨ And maybe avoid planning a marathon gym session straight after your intimate wax 😅

The better the prep = the smoother the results 💛

The bride AND groom catching norovirus just days before the big day 😭🤦‍♀️

So what should have been a calm week of prep turned into a mad dash to get everything done once everyone was finally feeling human again 😅

But honestly?

The funny stories.
The “I probably shouldn’t admit this to you Terri…” moments.
And some very questionable DIY beauty attempts 😅

So I thought… it’s only fair I start sharing a few
(don’t worry, names protected, dignity mostly intact… and shared with permission 😂👀)

🚨 Confession — How NOT to remove your own hair…down there👀 🚨

Picture this…

Standing in the kitchen.
Wax Heater in the kitchen (because plug sockets + easier clean-up, and trust me, you do NOT want melted wax on your carpet 😅)
Patio doors wide open due to heat wave.
One leg propped up on the cutlery drawers like you’re auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.

Thinking:
“Holiday is around the corner…I’ve been doing alright so far… how bad can it be if I just go a little further? I mean the waxing videos online make it look so easy!”

…

BAD. VERY VERY BAD. 😭

Cue:

A cotton bud
Some oil
A sweaty brow
Pure concentration
And the sudden realisation…
"What if I need to call someone? And WHO would I even call?!” 😅

Trying to gently remove wax… without removing your will to live

Spoiler:
That did not work

Tearing it off like a plaster?
Absolutely NOT an option 😯

At one point there may or may not have been:
• Tears
• Deep breathing
• And biting down on a wooden waxing spatula like you’re in a low-budget medical drama 😂

Final result?

✨ The accidental side: lovely and smooth
😡 The other side: still hairy, spikey… and looking like an angry sea urchin

It was the bikini version of a Mullet!

To make matters worse…
Trying not to scream in agony because your child is sat in the next room like:

“Mum… are you okay?” 😅

(Yes darling. Absolutely thriving.)
