I wanted to let you know that from June, an updated price list will come into effect at Boulevard Beauty.

The last time I increased my prices was 2023.

Since then, the cost of products, insurance, utilities, water, training and running a small business have all increased significantly. I've absorbed these rising costs for as long as possible, but I feel it's now the right time to make a small adjustment to my treatment prices.

I've worked hard to keep any increases as low as possible whilst continuing to provide the high standard of treatments, products and service that my clients know and love 💛

🚨 Confession #2 — The DIY Waxing Incident 🚨

You know when a situation starts off questionable and then just keeps getting worse?

This is one of those.

Picture this...

A client decides she's going to tackle her own intimate waxing.

At home.
Alone.
Balanced over a mirror on the bed.

Already we're making some bold choices 😅

Everything was apparently going reasonably well until...

💥 THUD 💥

One slight loss of balance later and she's managed to fall backwards, smacking her head on the headboard.

Now most people would think that's where the story ends.

Oh no.

We were only just getting started.

The fall caused a minor issue...

The wax had done what wax does best.

Things had become... Stuck together.

Unfortunately this now included certain body parts that definitely weren't supposed to be attached to each other 😭

Meanwhile, somewhere in the chaos, there happened to be a clean dog poo bag sitting on the bed.

You can probably see where this is going.

The dog poo bag became involved.

Against its will.

At this exact moment her husband comes running into the room after hearing the crash.

And what greets him?

His wife.

Bottom-half naked.

Freshly concussed.

Stuck together.

With what appeared to be a dog poo bag attached to an area where dog poo bags should never, ever be attached 😭😂

There followed a lengthy explanation involving:

"It's not what it looks like!"

"It wasn't supposed to happen!"

And probably several life choices being questioned.

💛 If you’re running late because of traffic chaos, please just keep me updated 😅

The works are happening in 3 phases and dates may change depending on progress, so I’ll try to keep everyone updated where I can 💛

🚧 Phase 3: 24th August – 25th September

A few little prep tips can make SUCH a difference 👇

✨ Exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment
✨ Moisturise regularly leading up to your wax
✨ Make sure the hair is long enough (roughly grain-of-rice length!)
✨ Avoid shaving between appointments if you can
✨ Wear loose comfy clothing afterwards
✨ And maybe avoid planning a marathon gym session straight after your intimate wax 😅

The better the prep = the smoother the results 💛

And don’t panic if you’re nervous — trust me, I’ve heard and seen it ALL 😂
