From 1989, what a journey it’s been! Full of memories, laughter, and friendships that will last a lifetime! Finding my beautiful wife, which led to my beautiful boys and so many incredible memories along the way!

It’s where we have worked alongside Keir and Louise for so many years, surrounded by creative, passionate people and the most wonderful clients anyone could ask for! We really have created some incredible hair under this roof!

I can’t quite believe it’s over — the end of an era!

It’s with heavy hearts that we recently shared the news that our beloved salon will soon close its doors as we step into new chapters of our lives.

This space has been filled with so many laughs, chats, and memories over the years, and we’ll forever be grateful to everyone who has walked through our doors.

There appears to have been some confusion with our previous post, although the salon itself will be closing, Daren, Keir and Louise will be continuing clients at separate locations with more information to follow x

To our very special Lotus Styling family,

We have had the privilege of a lifetime to provide your hair care for 36 years at our salon but all good things must come to an end. We have taken the tough decision to call time on our business as Daren would like to slow down and also explore his other artistic avenues and ventures. And so we have decided after all these very happy years making you all look so fabulous, we will be closing on October 25 (to be confirmed).
Yes, there is a tinge of sadness because we will miss you all, members of the loyal Lotus Styling family. But we see this as a time of celebration to herald all that we have enjoyed and achieved together since we opened our doors in Argyle Road back in September 1989.
You have all been so tremendously supportive as we endeavoured to make a visit to our salon so much more than popping in for fabulous hair. We are reminded of all of your backing as we supported charitable causes over the years as well as embracing all of our extra-curricular activities. They included a 26-hour world record for cutting hair non-stop as well as trimming locks sky-high in an air balloon. We have also been lucky enough to win many awards and accolades over the years as well as competitions! And who can forget the many, many fantastic window displays that never failed to raise a smile?
Our core team has remained the same — and alongside Daren has been Keir (33 years), Lou (28 years) and Kate (21 years), all bringing their wonderful skills and warm personalities to enhance the Lotus Styling experience. Daren, Keir and Lou will continue to welcome clients at alternative locations and we will bring you an update on their plans as soon as we have it.

We used the new Clay LightDimensions SilkLift by with 3% & 6% developer, along with BondPro+ to protect and strengthen the hair throughout the process. Hand-painted balayage using scissors for precision and a natural blend 🌿

This was our client’s first time experiencing hand-painted balayage — and she was blown away by the result 😍
